This picture has been taken during a bicycle journey start in 2007.
I flew from France, to Tokyo with a goal : to cross Asia alone with my bike.
I start in Tokyo, from where I crossed a part of Japan to Osaka where I took a boat to China. From there I quickly joined Beijing. Then Chengdu and the amazing Lassa. After that I followed the Friendship Highway and arrive in Kathmandu. After Nepal I rode my bicycle to the very dangerous roads of India where I follow the Ganges until Daka in Bangladesh. From there, because the Burma border was closed, I took a plane to south China, in Kunming, from where I rode my bike to arrive in Hanoi, then I crossed the Laos border and Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia to finish in july 2008.

Photography information: All of the images in this database were captured with the Macropod.
The Macropod is a rigid, portable photomacrography system, which allows the user to make razor sharp, fully focused photographs of small sized specimens at 18 to 26-megapixel resolution. It overcomes the extreme Depth of Field (DOF) limitations inherent in optics designed to image smaller specimens. Normally, lenses designed for macro will only render a very small fraction of the depth of targeted specimen in sharp focus at any one exposure. The Macropod allows the user to select and make multiple exposures in precise increments along the Z-axis (depth) such that each exposure’s area of sharp focus overlaps with the previous and next exposure. These source images are then transferred to a computer and merged by an image-stacking program. Zerene Stacker is used to find and stitch together only the focused pixels from each exposure into one image. The Macropod integrates industry-leading components in a novel and elegant way to achieve these results.

Camp Crystal Lake...
This image is probably my personal favorite, I love winter, and its returning to Australia soon. The fog will be forming and photographers will be out in force... including me.
Landscape photography is all about trying to be in the right place, at the right time. Seconds before this shot was taken the fog covered the lake like a thick blanket. It felt spooky, the fog felt alive and I think we woke it up, because before we knew it, it was all around us, it had lifted from the lake and rushed us.
Enjoy.

- ISO 100, f9, 2.5 seconds, 70mm.
- Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L lens.

About Camp Crystal Lake
Camp Crystal Lake, the setting for many films in the Friday the 13th (franchise) series.
About Lake Moogerah
Lake Moogerah, formed by Moogerah Dam, is a water supply and irrigation dam on Reynolds Creek, a tributary of the Bremer River in Southeast Queensland's Fassifern Valley. The lake is used for recreation, fishing and camping.
The lake is located around 60 km southwest of Ipswich, and about 90 minutes drive from Brisbane. Boonah is the nearest town, about 15 km from the lake.
Construction on the dam began in 1959, although land for the project was resumed as early as 1916. Moogerah Dam was completed in 1961 as the central catchment of the Warrill Valley Water Supply Scheme. The dam wall at Lake Moogerah allows access to Mount Edwards in Moogerah Peaks National Park.
The dam supplies drinking water to the towns of Boonah and Ipswich, although the main user is the Swanbank Power Station. It also supplies irrigation water to small crop farms in the Fassifern Valley.
There is a popular caravan park at Moogerah Dam. Higher Ground Australia operate Camp Moogerah at the lake for church youth groups. On the western shore are Camp Mallon and Camp Laurence which offer group accommodation camps with educational and adventure activities for school students, family and church groups. On the southern shore is the Brisbane Grammar School Pepperina Hill Campsite, which is primarily used for grade 8-10 camps.
During the 1995 drought dam levels declined to a low of 1% total capacity

until I realized it is love?

I had been thinking about such a thing.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

Even though it is no longer the nation's official capital, Yangon – formerly Rangoon – remains Myanmar's largest and most commercially important city. Yangon is the country's largest city with a population of nearly six million. This city is a melting pot—a diversity of cultures and communities in terms of people, settlement and religions. Because it serves as the country's main entrance and seaport. Its downtown skyline is dominated by the winking wonder of Shwedagon Paya, a dazzling Buddhist temple that attracts pilgrims from all over the world. The Botataung Pagoda literally "1000 military officers" is a famous pagoda located in downtown near the Yangon river. The 40 meter high pagoda was first built by the Mon around the same time as was Shwedagon Pagoda—according to local belief, over 2500 years ago. The pagoda is hollow within, and houses what is believed to be a sacred hair of Gautama Buddha. In the second World War the pagoda was destroyed during an airforce bombing mission aimed at the nearby docks. Rebuilding started in 1948 following the original design.Since the 2010 elections, Yangon's fortunes have skyrocketed along with its land prices, as both local and foreign investors scrambled to grab a foothold here. At the same time, decades of economic stagnation are only too apparent in the city's slums, shanty housing and creaking, frequently overwhelmed infrastructure – something you'll quickly realise as you crawl into town in a taxi from the airport.
Rangoon was renamed Yangon and is no longer the capital of Myanmar but it still tolerates some of its colonial past and houses magnificent Pagoda's. Botataung pagoda is the lesser known of “the three pagodas” of Yangon. While it may not not have the flare of Shwedagon or the stature of Sule, inside its golden-leafed walls is laid a hair of the Buddha, making it a significant religious site for Buddhists. The hair and other relics can now be seen behind glass around each turn of the golden labyrinth that zig-zags around the inside of the hollow stupa. The golden image of the Buddha “Calling the Earth to witness” is enshrined in a worship hall around the main pagoda. The golden Buddha watches people meditate and take naps.
Yangon is de voormalig hoofdstad van Myanmar. Het is voor de meeste reizigers het startpunt van hun rondreis door Myanmar voor ons het eindpunt. Voor de grootste stad van het land komt Yangon relatief relaxed over. De sfeer is er gemoedelijk en het verkeer is nog lang niet zo jachtig als in de buurlanden Thailand en India. De stad grenst in het westen en zuiden aan de Yangon rivier. De stad is behoorlijk uitgestrekt. Gelukkig heb je voor een paar duizend Kyats, de munteenheid van Myanmar, een taxi of fietstaxi te pakken. Vanaf de straat is de 40 meter hoge Botataung Pagoda goed te zien. De pagode werd voor het eerst gebouwd door de Mon rond dezelfde tijd als Shwedagon Pagoda-volgens de lokale geloof, meer dan 2500 jaar geleden. In de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd de pagode verwoest tijdens een luchtmacht bombardementen missie die gericht was op de nabijgelegen haven. Herbouw begon in 1948 na het oorspronkelijke ontwerp. Integenstelling tot de meeste stupa's is deze hol van binnen. Wanneer je naar binnen ga, stuit je op een interieur dat lijkt op een doolhof van speigelglas met een hoop vitrines met Boeddhabeeldjes. In de tempel zitten verschillende gelovigen te bidden en te slapen. Het gouden beeld hierboven is de Bhumisparsha Mudra van het aanroepen van moeder-aarde tot getuige is gelegen in een adoratie hal rond de pagode. Op het terrein van de tempel verschillende verblijven voor monniken. Daarnaast is er een tweede gebedsruimte met een grote bronzen Boeddha. De tempel ligt vlak bij de haven. De haven is een mengelmoes van groot en klein, er zijn immense containerschepen, maar er zijn ook kleine houten bootjes die voor weinig geld te veel mensen naar de overkant brengen.

A veces, la fotografía, como la fruta, necesita tiempo para madurar. Esta toma, es de un amanecer en el Campello en Alicante, que realice con mis amigos Pepe Alcaide y Salva Mira, allá por el mes de febrero.
No me dijo nada en un principio y dejé olvidada. Ayer, después de muchos meses,me pareció que podía resultar bonita al procesarla. He quedado contento con el resultado y por eso la incorporo a la galería. Espero que os guste.

Stunning beauty of Erawan waterfall make any visitor want to come and see the wonderful nature and beauty of the Erawan National Park. Erawan waterfall is considered the most beautiful waterfall in Thailand, it is derived from Monglai stream and dumps the hill at the height of 2,000 m and flows into Khwae Yai River. Famed for its impressive seven-tiered waterfall, Erawan National Park is a popular weekend spot for locals. Walking to the first three tiers is easy, but after that good walking shoes and some endurance are needed to complete the 1.5km hike. Bring a bathing costume as you will appreciate the cool water after reaching the top. Levels 2 and 4 are impressive, but be wary of monkeys who may snatch belongings while you're taking a dip. The wide pool of bright emerald water is fabulous for swimming. At each tier, you’ll catch a glimpse of the fish. Minnows like to hang around swimmers and pick at their dead skin; some might find them unnerving while others will enjoy the free fish spa. Erawan waterfall has a large limestone cave called Wang Badan located in the west of the park. There are many stalagmites and stalactites colorful inside the cave. Around 80% of Erawan is forest, and many of the park's various trees can be seen along three nature trails, which range from 1 km to 2 km. Bird-watchers try to spy hornbills, woodpeckers and parakeets from the camping areas and observation trails. Tigers, elephants, cobras and gibbons also call the park home.
This waterfall is located in the lush forests of the Erawan National Park. To visit this waterfall, visitors must go through a tortuous path with very attractive scenery. Just over a kilometre at the fourth tier, features a splendid swimming hole surrounded by boulders suitable for lounging. The highlight here is a natural water slide that shoots you several metres down smooth stone into water that strikes a darker shade of emerald thanks to overhanging trees. Samantha is sliding down at the Erawan waterfall in Kanchanaburi Province - Thailand.
Het twaalfde nationaal park van Thailand heet het Erawan National Park en herbergt hoge bergen en valleien De hoge bergen bieden het achtergelegen landschap bescherming tegen de oostelijke moesson. 80% van het park is bedekt met dichte bebossing. In het gebied leven veel vogels, reptielen, tijgers en olifanten. De belangrijkste en mooiste attractie van het Erawan National Park zijn de Erawan watervallen. Deze watervallen bestaan uit zeven trappen. De verschillende trappen zijn te bereiken via een avontuurlijk pad door de jungle. Onderaan iedere waterval is een kristalheldere poel waar je met het blote oog vissen ziet zwemmen en waar je een verfrissende duik kunt nemen. Middenin een dichtbegroeide, groene jungle, zagen we over de rand van verschillende rotsblokken helderblauw water naar beneden stromen. Het water komt uit in verschillende terrassen, waar je de bladeren op de bodem ziet liggen en de scholen vissen voorbij ziet zwemmen. Een java-aap keek vanaf een afstandje mee vanuit een boom. Yup, dit is het paradijs! De hoogste waterval bevindt zich na een hike van ongeveer 1,5 kilometer; wat een klim is van zo'n 1.5 uur. Het begin van het pad is goed aangelegd daarna eindigt het pad en wordt de klim over bruggetjes, rotsen, kleine watervallen en trappetjes steeds uitdagender. Trek dus goede wandelschoenen aan. Het wordt ook steeds mooier. We kwamen langs watervallen met natuurlijke glijbanen, waar Samantha en Biejee met alle plezier vanaf gleden. Ook waren er watervallen met schitterende, witte kalkafzettinggen tegen de rotsen en bomen, waardoor het water een melkachtige, blauwwitte gloed kreeg.
