The morning colors over Columbus were nothing short of amazing but damn was it cold... A sure sign that Winter is not too far off. Funny... It seems like yesterday it was 90 degrees and I was complaining about the sweat rolling off my back. Anyway... The Inspire 1 Pro got a rest last weekend but not today. I'm just awestruck for the colors and clarity this drone brings to my ariel photography.
Went exploring the Autobahn Park for some cityscape photos of downtown Columbus. Upon arrival two others arrived, and seeming how this is in a relatively rough area of Columbus it made us a bit cautious. But, once I saw them start climbing my instinct told me these two were cool. So, I gladly went over and started talking to them. But, not before snapping this photo of these two enjoying the beautiful 60 degree weather, and even more beautiful view of the city. Chatted with these two for several hours before we parted ways, and even decided to plan an adventure together here soon!

After a 15-minute station stop, Amtrak's eastbound Empire Builder has departed Columbus, Wisconsin 20 minutes late on July 3, 2016. It won't be long before the corn will be obstructing this view.
ESA's Columbus lab by night, bathed in the pink glow from our greenhouse.
The greenhouse light appears pink because its LEDs emit only the wavelengths of light used by plants - such as blue light for plant structure and orientation in microgravity, and red light for photosynthesis.

While in Columbus, Ohio, for Easter 2019, we spent an afternoon at the zoo. The weather was very pleasant, and many of the animals were out.
An okapi - a quite unusual animal.
This is what Columbus looks like at night now that all our experiments have arrived! The pink light is not for our evening mood, it’s for a plant growth experiment, as it improves the crop yields. More about the experiments some other day (so many have arrived we can’t even turn without bumping into one 😀), but I include a picture of Columbus before setup for our comparison purposes (kind of like a before/after advertisement).

The night skyline looks much better now that the new AEP building signs are lit. This image is three shots stitched together.
The Columbus Monument is a 60 m (197 ft) tall monument to Christopher Columbus at the lower end of La Rambla, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was constructed for the Exposición Universal de Barcelona (1888) in honor to Columbus first voyage to the Americas. The monument serves as a reminder that Christopher Columbus reported to Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand V in Barcelona after his first trip to the new continent.
I spent the Saturday afternoon before Easter 2019 at the Columbus, Ohio, Zoo with my grandkids.
It was a perfect day to be at the zoo. The animals were enjoying the nice weather.
As you can see the kangaroos were frisky.

This is a homage to the explorer Christopher Columbus, a native of Genoa.
Christopher Columbus is depicted enthroned on a chariot driven by Neptune, the sea god. The inscription on the banner says "Christopher Columbus of Liguria, Discoverer of the New World".
Thanks to a recent restoration completed in 2016 the 500 year old frescoes look magnificent.
