The famous amphitheatre in Rome, a great monument to visit!

The colours in the sky were amazing on this evening. This is a hand held shot from a roof top terrace

Revisiting my visit to Rome last year, I just gave this a retro, high contrast look to try and bring out the drama of this amazing piece of history.

Currently being restructured, one has to know what to look for when searching for the original pieces of Roman architecture.

I happened to notice this picture from my archives today and I instantly liked it as it shows the nice contrast of the modern world (through the light trails of the traffic) and the Ancient world (the colloseum itself). This was shot using a Canon 7d and a Sigma 10-20mm lens, later slightly post processed (for color/contrast/sharpness) in Lightroom.
