The old Vanguard school on Metcalfe street in Westmount. The building was in the process of being demolished by work crews when a beam broke and the building collapsed unexpectedly.
Was watching embarrassing bodies and this woman came in with collapsed stomach muscles... I wish all girls had collapsed stomach muscles :(

Described on back of photo as the America - Canada Bridge at Niagara . With its wooden decking I am assuming that this would be the Honeymoon Bridge that collapsed in 1938 ?Unless there are other bridges at Niagara Falls? It was open to pedestrians and vehicles but became very slippery in wet weather to the extent that a car did drive off the side. Abandoned farmhouse in ... probably South Dakota. I took so long to develop the film, I don't actually remember where I took it! Efke IR820 taken with a Holga 120N and developed in Diafine. (No filter, hence no infrared.)
The wind can deposit sand creating a very sharp edge on a steep slope. Sometimes, the slope is too steep to hold up over time and sections of the edge collapse creating these sand rivers that flow down the side.

Edinburgh Trams came up against a number of problems on the morning of 28 November 2023. A tram broke down early in the morning but later, two non tram related incidents caused further disruption. Police closed a part of Leith Walk (following a crane collapse at Stead’s Place) and Edinburgh Trams curtailed operations to the section of route between Edinburgh Airport and the Haymarket Yards where a crossover, loop and temporary platform exist. In this view looking east, tram 256 has arrived from the airport at the temporary platform and has decanted the passengers. Others are now joining for the trip west towards the airport. This was just before service was reestablished over a longer section of the route from the airport to Balfour Street. Barely an hour later, there was another short interruption to eastbound services owing to an accident between a car and bus on Princes Street before service was restored to Leith tramstops to Ocean Terminal.
Looking back at the mostly collapsed portal of the abandoned Morrow Mine. The evening light and plants can barely be seen just outside.

From there you get lost in little street and enjoy a spectacular view on the harbour.
At tihs time of the year, golden hou is perfectly in line with the end of the harbour and light are sometime awsome.
Toward the very end, you have fort Ricasoli, some old stone dating probably from the war. The whole place is collapsing but if your are cautious you will find the best old stone to compose and play with the light

The funnel of the Ryde Queen collapsed during storms last autumn and now leans at a very precarious angle. I'd been once and discovered this new damage but didn't get many photos because of the light.
This time the light was much better and I was delighted to discover that the ditch alongside the boat had been filled in so I was able to get really close, and even stand on the boat to get some macros and abstracts. I was in heaven!
I was also able to look through some of these portholes with the camera and get some moody shots of the decaying interior.

It was partially destroyed by a great fire March 13, 1932, just after the baron Robert Lejeune, then owner of the castle, had been installing new central heating. The castle now remains in ruins. Only the chapel behind the castle was spared and still in reasonable condition.

I'm trying out a technique on the loom called collapse weave, sometimes known as dofferential shrinkage, it could be a complete disaster, who knows! I'm using a mix of pearl cotton, and merino lace weight for the warp threads and handspun wool and Angelina blends for the weft. Hopefully when washed in hot water, the wool should shrink and cause pleating and puckering.
Merino dyed by Ewan using McCormick food colouring, it was fun for him part art project, part science project! :)
