8/4/2011. Photo by Jameson Sempey.Emergency supplies inside of a defense unit truck from the Cold War era, specifically the 1950s and '60s. It is a 1953 Reo. At the museum they are "pretty certain" it was designed at Boyertown Bodyworks.
The Atomic Weapons Detection Recognition and Estimation of Yield, which was an automated system which could fulfil the job of the bunker if no one else could. Apparently she's quite sensitive and very adept at identifying the size and location of fireworks going off around York.
Ok, this is too funny. I saw this on the tv screens at Cafe Saint-Ex last week and knew I had to have it. I love Cold War history and watch documentaries, movies, etc. anytime I can. There are two others in the series I need to get as well. LOL!
