I'm really happy with these Chocolate Peppermint bars. They're the same creamy cocoa-butter-y recipe as before, only they have real cocoa added for colour.
A fresh batch is ready to go. It's lightly scented with orange and vanilla oils, and is a delightful bar to lather up with.
A blend of Cherry Blossom, Muguet, Red Apple and Georgia Peach, with hints of Tamarind and Blondewood. (just like Victoria Secret)
With sparkle dust on top :)
Aaaaand, the cold process soap fascination continues. So I decided to try using buttermilk in place of water today! Wooooo! And adding some poppy seeds! It's chilling out now...it might change color, so I've got it in the freezer to hopefully slow it down or prevent it from going completely beige or brown...the lye likes to burn the sugars in the milk apparently...
We're moving in May! Yay! I don't want to risk driving over 2000 miles with lye in our vehicle, so I'll be making a fair amount of soap in the next few months. Yay! Thankfully I only have enough lye for 5 or 6 or 8 more batches....
Just a nice simple Castile style soap today. No scent, just 90% Olive Oil and 10% Castor Oil.
There may be a photo of it in gel stage later...there may not be :)

A Pumpkin Pie test batch. I was a little bit dissappinted in the fragrance oil; I added quite a bit, (much more than usual) but it's not very fragrant in the soap. Perhaps as it cures, the scent will sort itself out.
Honey, almond, and organic cornmeal make this a fabulous hand soap for gardeners and those who need a good scrub.
A soap with Sweet Birch essential oil in a sweet little dish. I'll be selling this (hopefully) at a craft fair tomorrow.

Hmm... it looks good enough to eat and smells even better. It has no artificial colors: the brown is from real cocoa powder. I added peppermint essential oil to give it a "thin mint" zing. It is a beautiful bar and I can't wait until it is finished curing to use it!
A single bar of Chocolate Peppermint bath soap with cocoa. It has lots of cocoa butter in it for a rich, moisturizing lather.
