The West Tower, Chamber Block and Latrine Tower from the Castle Ditch. Bad design to have the Latrine block next to the sleeping quarters in Mediaeval times. All the castle used different floors of the latrine block depending on status.

Talsarnau or Talsamau is a village and community in the Ardudwy area of Gwynedd in Wales. Its population was 525 in 2001, and had increased to 550 at the 2011 Census. The village of Talsarnau is situated on the A496 coastal road between Maentwrog and Harlech, close to the hamlets of Eisingrug and Llandecwyn.

Early morning out on the mash, cold, heavy mist and rain. Not the ideal day for photography. This lonely soggy mushroom felt the same.

It was easy to take the camera with me on the cross-country trip when it was below minus 20 degrees and enjoy the wintry landscape - in the cold it's better to take it easy.😊
