The coffee shop is in a basement and inside it is long and narrow, with fairly low ceilings, and the lighting is just right for a warm and cozy feel! A guy was playing guitar and piano while we were there.
When I'm feeling stir crazy I'll go read a book at a Starbucks with a great view. That's the castle.
In the Netherlands, the national drug policy has officially four major objectives:
- To prevent drug use and to treat and rehabilitate drug users.
- To reduce harm to users.
- To diminish public nuisance by drug users (the disturbance of public order and safety in the neighborhood).
- To combat the production and trafficking of drugs.

I meant to go back and get a picture when the sidewalk wasn't being worked on, but I didn't. Now the Capitol Garage has moved, and the old parking lot for Beers has a building going up in it.
Yup -- go in and ask for a menu, and this is what you get. It has the types of pot you can buy listed by price, and have flavors and qualities the same way that coffee or anything else does. The shopkeep will gladly explain the qualities of each. Oh, and why 15 euro for the Skuff? It's the strongest; but locals never go for it, only binging foreigners.
