We've been thinking about going file based with an HVX or EX1. But last night we went to the SF FCP SuperMeet where canon unveiled their new MP2 Codec and show us mock up's of their new file based camera. Looks like an A1 and an HVX had a baby. Also looks like we're sticking with Canon.
Multimedia codecs are installed by default and VLC is set as the default media player, it comes with it's own codecs to be honest but as you can see it works well
