It's November 2002 and CHR is running a collection for BBC Children In Need in the foyer of St Richard's Hospital in Chichester.
We set up a mobile studio in the reception area and broadcast live from there using a pair of telephone codecs.
Chichester Hospital Radio will celebrate it's 40th Anniversary in 2012 and this image is part of a collection gathered over the years.
From this archive we can look back and discover many familiar faces that are still with the association, all be it they are a little older, and a few absent friends that are sadly no longer with us.

Cork (/kɔːrk/; Irish: Corcaigh, pronounced [ˈkoɾkɪɟ], from corcach, meaning "marsh") is a university city in south-west Ireland, in the province of Munster, which had a population of 125,622 in 2016.[3]
The city is situated on the River Lee which splits into two channels at the western end and divides the city centre into islands. They reconverge at the eastern end where the quays and docks along the river banks lead outwards towards Lough Mahon and Cork Harbour, which is one of the largest natural harbours in the world by navigational area.[6][7]
Expanded by Viking invaders around 915, the city's charter was granted by Prince John, as Lord of Ireland, in 1185. Cork city was once fully walled, and the remnants of the old medieval town centre can be found around South and North Main streets.
The city's cognomen of "the rebel city" originates in its support for the Yorkist cause during the English 15th century Wars of the Roses.[8] Corkonians often refer to the city as "the real capital"[9] in reference to its role as the centre of forces opposing the Anglo-Irish Treaty during the Irish Civil War.[10]
It uses the CS4223 CODEC chip from Crystal Semiconductor (now Cirrus Logic - a UTSVT sponsor!). The jumpers select +4 or -10 dbu input level.

Sony showing off their various codecs. Was good to see back to back, though it would have been nice to have one of the new BVM17's there. The AVC Intraframe was almost too good, showing a lot of noise. Some times a cheating pre pass soft filter is nice.
Lossless = animation codec.
Notice how ProRes 422 HQ and standard both have different gamma from the rest?
Sony pulls out all the stops on their 1080i codec (paired with their new 80-inch HD Flavia screen, of course)
