Amtrak 3 (the westbound Southwest Chief: Chicago, IL to Los Angeles, CA) racing west through Timpas, CO on the former Santa Fe mainline in the Comanche National Grassland.

Along most of this line in Colorado and New Mexico, Santa Fe code line telegraph poles are still used as a railroad power source for remote locations. The 1940s/50s era searchlight signals still stand here as well.
