The start of another week, good luck my friends!
*Happy Mid Autumn Festival!
\^0^/
I followed a Froggy Stuff video tutorial for the hot cocoa. What is really nice about this method is that it is removable and can be finished within an hour including drying time. It can be used to fill other containers with liquids like coffee, wine, juice or even soil for little pots.
I used brown construction paper instead of copy paper and had to add a top tier since my mugs go down at an angle. I used rolled up bits of copy paper for marshmallows instead of bits of Qtip like Froggy. The Qtip pieces were too big and were not convincing. I also tried just painting on marshmallows, but they were too flat.
I soaked a small piece of paper in water, broke it into bits, and then rolled them in Modge Podge before placing them on top as marshmallows.
Here is another HDR edit of the Cocoa beach pier I shot earlier this week. Was struggling with creating a good composition due to a clear sky, I usually look for dramatic clouds and sun light while shooting with HDR processing in mind. Though as I was walking back under the pier these sun rays grabbed my attention out the corner of my eye. Was glad to make something out of what I thought was a fail.. A fail with an hour long drive at that lol.
While dining outdoors on the bay at "Squid Lipps" at Cocoa Beach, I snapped about 40 images of the sunset with the trusty IPhone camera. I hit the shutter repeatedly when a flock of gulls were circling for handouts from the nearby dock and got lucky with this image.
My son thought it would be okay to take Pearl out with Cocoa without Cinnamon’s old harness if we both supervised them. It didn’t last long. I don’t want to risk losing my Pearl girl.
Yep...time for a hot mocha break in a beautiful mug to warm my hands after a quick brisk walk outside. #cy365 'day343 '

Here's another one of my weird ones. I took this in Cocoa, FL on a photo adventure with the lovely Shannon Bray.
Cannot be survive without.... :))
Recipe
--------------------------------------------------
Dough:
* 60 dkg simple white flour, sieved
* 30 dkg butter, room temperature
* 14 dkg cream cheese, chilled
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 3 tbsp sugar
* 4 tbsp sour cream, chilled
* 2 egg yolk, room temperature
Filling:
* 10 dkg butter, melted
* 3 tbsp sugar
* 5 tbsp holland cocoa powder
* 1 tbsp rum
* 1 tsp cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (390 F). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper, set aside.
2. Sieve the flour and salt.
3. Rub in the butter to a sandy texture. Add the sugar.
4. Stir the cream cheese with sour cream and the egg yolks in a small bowl. Add to the friable mixture.
5. Knead the dough quickly, then wrap into plastic. Refrigerate at least half or 1 hour.
6. For the filling stir the cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon and rum. Add the melted butter, mix well.
7. Remove the dough from the fridge, turn out the dough onto a lightly floured work surface. Roll out a thin rectangle.
8. Cut horizontal into three layer. Put the half of cream onto the bottom layer. Cover over the second layer. Spread the remainder filling, and finally cover with the last layer.
9. Roll out and cut horizontal again to 2 stripes. Roll up from the short end, slice into rounds, then squash each one. Transfer them to the prepared baking sheets about 1/2 inch apart.
10. Brush with remained egg whites, then bake about 10-12 mins, until bottoms are golden and tops are crispy.
Die ist ausnahmsweise nicht von den Malediven, sondern aus dem Regenwald von Tobago - ich brauchte mal eine andere Farbe :-)

Cocoa Bears are very fond of cocoa related products especially chocolate. :) They are small but very loving and looking for a new home. :)
