I took portraits today to send to my grandmother. She noticed there were no Christmas 2010 photos and wanted me to send pictures. I didn't do anything for the holidays because Beebs was sick and I was bummed about it. I don't think I told her this.

It was too wet to take the camera out today, but I happened to see this little one quickly crossing the floor as I was sweeping. Steatoda triangulosa, a cobweb spider that lives primarily in man-made structures, is believed to have originated in Eurasia and spread throughout much of the world now. Though I've recently waged war on the exploding population of cellar spiders inside the house (too many wispy cobwebs!), I let this little one go.
