Although members the [CPKF Rangers] Wayfinder platoon often recieve interesting remarks about their cute medium blue berets, no one can question on their ability to colour coordinate their field accessories.

article excerpt from Wikipedia:
"Before the 19th century, cobalt was predominantly used as a pigment. Since the Middle Ages, it has been used in the production of smalt, a blue colored glass. Smalt is produced by melting a mixture of the roasted mineral smaltite, quartz and potassium carbonate, yielding a dark blue silicate glass which is finely ground after the production."

was heavely prolluting this iron mine
Trivia:
waschkaue is the German name of an off-ground communal building in German iron and coal mines.
A waschkaue was used by miners at the beginning and the end of each working shift for showering and changing clothes.
it was divided in 3 sections
"schwarzkaue" (black room) was used by miners at the end of their work shift. They'd take off their dirty work clothes and put them in the basket. Each miner had his own numbered basked.
From the "black room", miners would go to the adjacent shower room. Normally a huge hall large enough to host 1000-1500 men showering at the same time
from the shower room they would them move to the next section: "weisskaue" (white room) to put on the normal everyday clothes before going home
at the beginning of work shift, the 3 rooms were crossed/used in reverse order: white room, shower area, black room
Both the clean and work clothes were stored in baskets and the baskets were rised and downed by means of a chain. At the end of the chain a lock pad would stop the chain on a rack, safely storing each man's personal belongings and clothes.
That solution is extremely space-efficient allowing 4-5000 basket to be stored in a relatively small space

an old video shows how it was:
I moved my glass shelves with part of my cobalt glass collection nearer to the front picture window. Along with the dusting and cleaning, of course I had to take some photos...
One glowing lamp that will be perfect for displaying crystal specimens. When I am able to get it, at least. Fun series from merchandise at our local IKEA store. The Glow set is here.

This are items on display at a wonderfully eclectic shop which I frequent. In fact I'm there every day. I like it there because it's very warm and inviting. Always great conversation and you meet some interesting folks who wander in. The people who own it have become my friends and I don't think I could let a day go by without being with them. I dedicate this to Mark & Zina.
