This doesn't show all the pylons, but it gives you an idea of how they are clustered, I think so that they don't steal wind from another one. Incidentally, I am pretty sure that this is not the wind farm we saw from Ilchulbong.
Update, October 2014: Another replacement, and for much the same reasons, oversharpened, contrast too high, edge artefacts from not using a layer mask. Anyways, this I think is a better rendition of the basic file.
Ramsgate Harbour under a dark rain cloud. The sailing ship which arrived and moored less than hour previously looks a bit incongruous amongs other vessels
Solidago glomerata flowering on the Alpine Meadow along the Grandfather Trail on Grandfather Mountain. These plants are Southern Appalachian endemics with a narrow range restricted to Western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. They grow only at high elevations (above 5000 ft) on balds and rocky outcrops, in wet areas and in open spruce-fir forest habitat. I saw them first around the Animal Habitats on Grandfather Mountain and in several places along the Grandfather Trail across the ridge of the mountain. Another place to look for them is Mount Mitchell. They stand out from other goldenrod species by their exceptionally large flower heads.

Cluster figs grow in a huge cluster, hence the name. These were found growing at the base of a tree.

NGC 457 (also known as the Owl Cluster, the ET Cluster, or Caldwell 13) is an open star cluster in the constellation Cassiopeia. It lies over 7,900 light years away from the Sun. It has estimated age of 21 million years. The cluster is sometimes referred by amateur astronomers as the Owl Cluster. Two bright stars, magnitude 5 Phi-1 Cassiopeiae and magnitude 7 Phi-2 Cassiopeiae can be imagined as eyes. The cluster features a rich field of about 150 stars of magnitudes 12-15.

When it's hot, bees like to hang outside. This hive is also pretty full of honey, so I'll be harvesting pretty soon.

The Double Cluster is located in Perseus. The Clusters are 7600 and 6800 light years away from Earth. This was taken on 7/21/07 in North St. Louis County with a Orion 8 inch f/5, Canon XT, Celestron AS-GT Mount. Exposure info is 8x29sec and 13x9sec combined in Deep Sky Stacker. I like the red stars in the cluster.
