My wife has been growing Epiphyllum flowers for many years, and this is one of hers that bloomed this morning, and which I documented in the shade underneath a tree.
Lighting info: Lit with a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box positioned at camera left. Fill light is from a hand held mirror at camera right. The flash and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF- 603N.
Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. For each image in the set, and there are over 1800 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/
Over the years, I've taken over 170 "Epi" pictures, and they're in my Epiphyllum Flowers album, if you like that sort of thing.
"Be a clown, be a clown,
All the world loves a clown.
Act the fool, play the calf,
And you'll always have the last laugh."

When we travelled to Los Angeles for the first time in 2014 (I had been a loooong time ago, when I was a child), it was a long weekend that was a sign-shooting frenzy. I knew I wouldn't get to all that I wanted to shoot (and I sure didn't!) but I had a few that were on my must-shoot list -- and the Circus Liquor clown was one of them.
Confession: clowns creep me out. But I love this one -- as creepy as I find all clowns, including this one, I think this particular clown is still marvellous.
You've likely seen him before, even if you've never been to Los Angeles, as films and music videos have all been filmed in Circus Liquor's parking lot.
The little clowns took care of diplomatic relations. A street party/demonstration on the 11th of April, Helsinki, Finland.
Just a bit of clowning around with some selective colour only because it's Easter ~ Enjoy the weekend !!!!
Clowns are comic performers, stereotypically characterized by their colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, and unusually large footwear. Clowning, in its most basic form, can be described as one form of drama without a fourth wall; however, there are other types of drama that are lacking the element of a fourth wall as well. In other words, a clown acknowledges his audience. The clown's humor today is often visual and includes many elements of physical comedy or slapstick humor.
Clowns spread in cultures of any time and place, because they meet some deeply rooted needs in humanity: violation of taboos, the mockery of sacred and profane authorities and symbols, reversal of language and action, and a ubiquitous obscenity.

A little clown along the trail at Mill Lake, Abbotsford, B.C. I am still trying to figure out if it is cute or obscene.
So they were supposed to be taking a picture of Allison and I. They were saying phrases like 'Hold On' and 'Wait a Minute' and 'This Looks Good' and on and on.
Hmmm. Are you guys even taking pictures of us?
Out come the straight up poses. Pictures of Allison and I? 0. Pictures of the clown show? About 40.
Not a fan of the quality of the reverse camera on this phone. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday. Been working through lunch lately and struggling to catch up. All apologies.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. With the craze of scary clowns being reported in the media and condemned by police and sensible people the world over, I was surprised to find one standing on Buchanan Street. I was even more surprised to find Leo 'The Glasgow Raver' trying to intimidate the scary clown by dancing circles around him! Enjoy.

For the Through the Lens week 51 theme of Even Number are these somewhat creepy smiling Clowns at the Fair ground. I used to love trying to throw the ball down their open mouths as they moved sideways. The two blue haired dolls in the background also fit the theme of even numbers. I wasn't certain if we had to display actual numbers for this theme. With the FFM.
Smiles of a clown,

Dundas Square, The Eaton Centre
Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
There’s always something going on in our great city and this day was no exception, we had a great time at Dundas Square being entertained by musicians, singers, dancers and clowns, something for everyone.
Meet Clarence the Clown, a colourful character who kept us in stitches with his performance, wonderful costume and mannerisms. Everybody loved him, especially the little ones who all received one of his balloon creations, figures of animals, birds or whatever they asked for. The smiles on their faces were simply priceless. What kid could ask for anything more on a sunny day at the Square, well ok, ice cream perhaps. ha!
Thanks once again for stoppin’ by, always appreciate your visit. I wish you a most wonderful day and look forward to connecting with you soon.

started painting a wet wall at 8am with a bag full of dregs, wasnt the best start to the day. but then it dried up, and this turned out ok really for a dreg piece. happy with it. and the whole wall was looking great! but apparently it got taken out the next day, which is quite annoying as this wall is about 3 miles long.
