Who worked in a circus that came through town.
His shoes were too big and his hat was too small,

Signs like this all over town indicated that the circus was about to arrive. After setting up in Royal Park (on the river side of the flood barrier), and several shows into their season, the rains came.

One more from the car forrest in Goldfield. Clowns were the subject of the trip. This one was especially creepy though. The previous shot of the bus can be seen on the horizon on the right. This is a popular place. In the dashboard there is a yellow light. It was a glowing candle left there by someone else
This is a super close-up portrait of a Ruddy Turnstone sandpiper. He appears to still have much of his breeding coloration, so I am assuming he only recently arrived from the breeding grounds in the arctic. I took this shot on the Barnegat Jetty, where there was a group of about eight Turnstones lazily hanging out on the rocks. These birds will likely stay around all winter, as I have seen them there in January and February. Gotta love the clown-like coloration facial coloration on these shorebirds. Very attractive in my opinion. View large for best Clown- Face (aka Ruddy Turnstone) experience.
