A lovely walk from Trent Lock to the back of Thrumpton. The sky that day was just awesome, constantly changing from stormy to full sun.
Jellyfish Clouds "Altocumulus Castelanus". The trails curving under the cloud is virga rain that dies up before hitting the ground).
The science is a moist layer is trapped between a two dry layers.

Subject: Using Lines For Composition

There were some crazy cloud patterns earlier this week in Raleigh and as the sun began to set. The wind was blowing and the higher clouds were streaked across the sky. The cloud patterns were changing so fast ~ it was amazing to watch.
Because I stopped to take pictures of this awesome cloud before going into Meijer, I got wet. I think it was worth it.

We left Bryce Canyon to drive to Zion National Park but took a roundabout way to see a bit more of Southern Utah.
The cloud formations was pretty amazing that morning and we kept stopping to capture it..
