Cloud formations over the High Peak.
Chosen by Look North as one of their weather pictures, 20012015.
It was like someone pulled the plug – the tide was way out at the mouth of the Nicomekl River at Crescent Beach.
Our first Spring day. Nice and sunny but with a wind that went right through you. Nice fluffy clouds and showers above the mountains to the North.
The piles in the foreground are remnants of the The Crescent Oyster Company circa 1904–1957.
The red buildings in the distance are a dairy farm, to the right is the Burlington Northern railway trestle over the Nicomekl River.

We have had some intense late afternoon storms lately and this is the leading edge of one of them yesterday.
I like watching the weather and skies. I especially like lightening and thunder!
This evening's sunset provided some neat cloud action, and this was one of the better sunsets that I have seen recently.
This is a single exposure, taken with Sony A7R, 29mm, 0.5-second exposure, f/8, ISO 50, B+W CPL, and 3-stop Lee GND filter to hold the sky back and get some detail in the foreground.
