Another monsoon photo. I hope to have more because I hope we have many more storms and RAIN. We need the rain.
Sea of Cloud
It was a great start to Easter Sunday with a fantastic sunrise and cloud inversion.
I thought I would head to Crummock Water as there was fog forecast. Turned out it was wrong and all the fog/mist was back where I started moving its way through Keswick and Bassenthwaite.
This image was taken on my way back, coming down from Whinlatter.
Who else was out for sunrise on Easter Sunday?

Excuse my delay over the next three weeks with comments and faves on your wonderful photos my fine flicker friends....I am flying out today to LA and am goin' roadtrippin' across the southwestern part of the US - California, Arizona, New Mexico - maybe a little bit of Utah. Wish me luck :)
I was driving home yesterday and was caught in a heavy rain and through out the sun was struggling to shine through the dark clouds. Loved how determined and persistent the sun was :)
I love to watch the weather above and the play of light on Piz Aul. The mountain is of moderate hight (3121m) and is sandwiched between Vals and Vrin in the Canton of Graubünden/Grisons.
This view is from Falera, looking in SSW direction.
A link to a lengthy and spectacular day - night transitional tiime-lapse of this to follow soon.
I visited the island of La Palma (Canary Islands) in Oct. 2015 to attend the "Astromaster" advanced landscape - astrophotography timelapse workshop.
This is a view at blue hour (about mid-way through the timelapse) looking into the Caldera de Taburiente from the rim not far from the Observatorio Roque de Los Muchachos, as we prepared for another astrophotography session. The winds were extremely strong and variable and so a long exposure just wasn't possible.

I almost preferred this shot to my 'classic Elgol' shot - all thanks to the well placed cloud on the walk in!
