Another drive-by shooting done by my 11-year-old son, Drew V Reynolds. I-57 in northern Illinois. Driving to Michigan from Dallas.

Pretty interesting clouds and color at sunset in Socorro, New Mexico 141204.

sunset, clouds, orange, glow, blue, dark, grand street landing, williamsburg, brooklyn, new york, city, nyc, film, kodak 400, nikon, fe, 105mm f/2.5

Although I over processed, just the formation of the cloud is just eerie. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Cool and pristine, the clouds stand proudly untouched, from the plane's window at 37,000 feet en route to Turkey.

Cloud Waltz over the gold coast QLD AU

This was a spectacular scene. The cloud at the bottom of the photo was casting a shadow all the way across the sky. It looked like the hand of God. I wish the photo could do justice to what I saw. Taken at sunset in my yard.

As air flows along the surface of the Earth, it encounters obstructions. These are man-made objects, such as buildings and bridges, and natural features, like hills, valleys, and mountains. All of them disrupt the flow of air into eddies. The strength of the eddies depends on the size of the object and the speed of the wind.【 Wiki 】

I've always liked clouds. There's likely to be more of these as I was on a 500m high ridge with the clouds rolling in off the sea at a lower level.

A pic of the sky and the clouds like 20 minutes ago. Couldn't get a better shot because the wind was amazingly strong.

Sunset behind clouds over Arran at Prestwick Beach...

Taken near Ranworth, Norfolk, UK

Nice looking clouds. I always take these kinds of shots but rarely post them. I think this would look good with an aircraft emerging from them. Perhaps a trip to O'Hare... Hmm?

I love the reflection on the sand. Plus the colors of the clouds. This was a rewarding sunrise.

The cloud's formation was so unusal that I could not resist to take this pic.

This image of cumulus and high cirrus clouds was taken nea the northern end of the La Sal Mountains in May. Aptly named in Latin, Cumulo- means "heap" or "pile", while cirrus means a ringlet or curling lock of hair; these clouds are frequently called mares tails.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments. Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

A tornado in the Rozel, Kansas sequence. The first was rated EF4. Haven't looked on the followups, but likely weak. A good reason to stay back is the overall view.

Also appears on the Capital Weather Gang.

Driving to Sykamenia we saw these clouds gathering above Turkey across the water

Cloud over the haulien mountain

There I was sitting on my seat looking over at Vesuvius and the thought struck me "Is that cloud or smoke???" It stayed nice and white so that was a relief:-)
