The Trade Winds -known as "Alisios"- push clouds full of water through the ocean to La Palma Island; then the clouds collide with the "Cumbre Nueva" range -1500 to 1600 m. high- and fall from the top, dissolving itself because of the pressure and temperature. Seeing from National Park of La Caldera de Taburiente, La Palma Island.
Taken while one group of cows was moo-ing through the whole valley and others looked at me rather sceptically...
Another picture I dug up from my trip to the Philippines in 2011. This photo was taken on Philippine Airlines flight PR-210 about 20-30 mins away from landing in Manila. I recall the sun was setting and the light was falling onto the clouds and the sea in the centre of the image in such a way that it stood out. It was almost...Godly.
I was just saying the other day how the summer skies aren't as fun as winter and then this happened.
It's tricky trying to get a sharp shot when sitting in a canoe and the waters are not exactly mirror calm. We watched these clouds roll over us thinking we may be getting wet on this paddle. However, with this summer's drought and the Parry 33 fires looming close, we thought a good rain would be great. I had a super waterproof camera bag with me. However, those rain clouds proved to be elusive again. George Lake was lovely to paddle.
July 18, 2022: This morning's infrared image of clouds above Newbury Park. Photo was taken with 720nm filter, 1/200 sec at f/7.1, ISO 400. Of course, I had to add some clarity to add mood to the clouds. 190/365
The clouds are here
They aren't up in the sky.
I cupped them with my hands
and reached up high.
I said to these clouds,
"no more am I blind.
I have to see straight
and that will make me unkind."
Visions of blue,
I'm angry, I'm wise.
And you, you're under cloudy skies.
.................
I was looking at a sunset on the other side, then I turned around and saw these clouds.

It's a wonderful experience to drive through the vast stretch of coastal drive known as "17-Mile Drive", with many Vista points. This was shot near a point called "Bird Rock"
The sky was so incredible, today - every possible kind of clouds, and every possible kind of colour - and ... the light!!!! No photoshop - just nature.
something very different form my usual kind of shots, but ... cloud catching has been such a fun!
have a nice evening :-)))
This was supposed to be an aurora-watching session on a beach near Narvik, but, after a hint of clearing, the cloud and snow moved in again.
Most of the light in this long exposure is from Narvik, but I've used a tungsten light balance so it looks more natural. The blue light at lower left is from a fellow traveller's LED headtorch.
I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes. ~e.e. cummings
