i'm trying different things with graphic organizers: making sure they (1) work to answer a question, (2) are clear the direction or movement of where different items are placed and (3), paying attention to the verbs i use in the question the organizer asks.

 

this one seems to be working out well.

theese markers rock! they're less expensive than crayola markers, last longer, wash well, are non-toxic and smell great.

 

i like choacolate.

this organizer is helping students review what they learned this semester. they're anwsering questions from their organizers before writing a reflective piece about their experience in class.

my roll book turned to where i keep attendance.

one of my students wears this chain and lock each and every day. he claims he had a vision-dream where a voice told him to wear it until the key of knowledge comes to unlock his mind.

apparently the most dangerous part of the mexican-american border is along the arizona desert. i've heard it said that there are days when more people die there trying to cross into the united states then are killed in the war in iraq.
