The last of my spring bulbs to open is always this double headed Narcissus - Thalia. Nice to have fresh blooms @ end of April. A small group shot & a close up shot

Just a few lingering Hummers are around - hopefully a few more will show up after the storm passes tomorrow. I got up early (really!) to get a few shots in. I decided to try for an "extra" close shot. I didn't want to use the macro and risk scaring them.

I used a 300mm lens with a 2X TC and about 56mm of extension tubes for this shot. Starting with decent light which deteriorated with each thing I added to the lens left me with 1/60th of a second at f/13 even at ISO 640 from a distance of about 2 meters. This bird is in flight and you can see all the little blurry wing action. No crop.

A little color for my friends. Thanks for your continued support. I have been so busy lately and I am sorry I haven't been visiting your great streams lately as much as I want to.

Watch the edge and the spray please..This is about as close as I was game to venture near the edge.The wind was up and every time a wave crashed into the ledge sea spay caused a problem with keeping myself and camera dry..

This is a close up of the tealight holders I made for the trimming challenge. On this tealight holder, I used the snowflake circle cling stamp: I left the stamp face up on the plastic sheet, inked it with white Staz-on ink, then carefully rolled the tealight holder over the stamp.
