Getting close to the structure of Britannia bridge.

Britannia Bridge is a bridge across the Menai Strait between the island of Anglesey and the mainland of Wales. It was originally designed and built by the noted railway engineer Robert Stephenson as a tubular bridge of wrought iron rectangular box-section spans for carrying rail traffic.

And in the far distant is the first longest suspension bridge - the Menai Suspension bridge.

Close your eyes and you will see.

A wide angle close up in Griffith Park on a very cold and snowy day

The Praying Mantis; the Garden Protector. He decided to stop by and pay a visit, reminding us to calm down and know that we are protected. That we need not worry. That we need not stress over the details of the day.

Looking close on... Friday! Matches

An amazing close encounter with a wild Red Deer Hind. Knowing there were sightings of these beautiful creatures earlier that day, headed out to Burley in the New Forest Hampshire. Not expecting to still see them there, sure enough there was about 40 happily feeding. This one seemed to take a shine to my son! I was on my knees waiting for a low down shot at the Stag when this young lady came right up to us. A real special treat.

A Grade II listed 17th or 18thC packhorse bridge over Haigh Clough near Marsden.

Margaret Falls from the bridge right in front. I decided to best illustrate the thunderous sensation of the falls by getting up close. This is glacier fed runoff, freezing cold, and pounding down in a torrent.

This cocky let me get close to him/her so I took the chance and captured this.

A little break from the Farne's following our latest trip back home to Scotland.

Many of the deer in the glen are very amenable when it comes to photography. This lovely was no exception, though she wasn't quite as close as the photo suggests.
