This is the first thing I thought of when I learned that the new LEGO Ostrich had a removable head and a standard connection point.

Because everything is more fun when it's Steampunked.

reminds me, I need to go to office :-(

I have been wanting to make these for months. I like how they turned out!

Although... I keep thinking their heads look like snakes. I like snakes. I need to make snakes.

I always had my doubts about what powered Sheffield's trams. Some said 'electricity,' but now I definitely know differently.

This pic confirmed my suspicion that the trams run by clockwork.

Early every morning a little man with a big key, and a ladder, fixes the key to the cog on the pole in the picture and winds the tram system up.

That's why the tram system doesn't run overnight - it has run down and can't run again until the little man appears with his key and his ladder. The tram company will not employ him during the night as they would have to pay him double time!

The bust is hand carved from a solid block of metal and is 3.5" tall.

The late 70's rolling stock on the Glasgow Subway is shortly to be replaced. This is Ibrox, formerly known as Copland Road. The same location in 1975: www.flickr.com/photos/9003948@N05/8580129875 As you can see, this station has been converted to two platforms and it has lost its skylights.
