This beautiful building was constructed from 1877-1882 and was originally a U.S. Court House & Post Office.
Placed on NRHP in 1972.
The Clock Tower commemorates the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897. It was paid by public subscription and the foundation stone was laid on 7th November 1899 by the Mayor John Truscott. Architect was EJ Shrewsbury.
