This was my second choice image for the Leading Questions project with Clipper. I really like this shot but felt that the humor of the first shot suited him better.

This shot was made with my 5D. It's interesting to see the differences between it in the film shot below.

The Clipper (Parthenos sylvia) is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in South and South-East Asia, mostly in forested areas. The Clipper is a fast flying butterfly and has a habit of flying with its wings flapping stiffly between the horizontal position and a few degrees below the horizontal. It may glide between spurts of flapping.

Thanks for your visit and comments, I appreciate that very much!

Cape Town . Start of the "Southern leg"

A Clipper 70 out on the Solent training the crew for the 2023 round the world race.

The crew pay to take part in these races. They can sail around the world or just a single leg. Terrific adventure if you enjoy sailing.

The buildings you can see out in the Solent are at the eastern end of the Isle Of Wight and are the Bembridge RNLI Station which operates a Taymar Class all-weather lifeboat.
