CopenHill or Amager Bakke is a combined heat and power plant and recreational facility in Copenhagen. The sports facility was designed by the architects Bjarke Ingels Group with an 85 m (279 ft) tall sloped roof that doubles as year-round artificial ski slope, hiking slope and climbing wall. CopenHill was named the "World Building of the Year 2021" at the annual World Architecture Festival.
The plant opened in 2017. It is expected to burn 400,000 tons of municipal solid waste annually. Because of filtration and other technologies, sulphur emission is expected to be reduced by 99.5% and NOx by about 95%. It is claimed to be the cleanest incineration plant in the world.

One of my favourite haunts is the tallest purpose built climbing tower in the world, which is on the outskirts of the Northern Dutch city of Groningen. With 37 metres in height and 11 meters of overhang, it's scary to look at and even scarier to climb. Taking kite aerial photographs here is also a challenge.

Our country is as flat as a pancake, we have no mountains nor rocks to climb. So we need to be inventive if we want to practice climbing. This tower is a steel and wood construction, 37 metres high, with an overhang of 11 metres.

I've been spending a couple days a week downtown and have really been enjoying looking around. I've always liked this sculpture, and finally caught it in some cool light the other day.

We built this climbing cave in part of a sport court for a client in Medina. The floor has custom made crash pads that are 24 inches thick.
