MUSIC: "Beyond the Sea," Bobby Darin
It's all about the colors and composition for me on this one....I thought it was worth another round on the front page with a little Bobby Darin accompaniment.... :))

Alone in the wilderness, the most beautiful sights can be seen. I always keep shooting right into sunset and beyond because the light can be so changable, especially on the Isle of Skye. Trying to be unique here can also be a challenge to say the least.
Tech - x2 long exposure shots. One for correct sky exposure, one for the foreground. Blended using luminosity masking (note there are no burned hilltops etc and a very natural result is achieved). I use Raya pro and Lumi32 to make the selections. Check out Jimmy McIntyre on Youtube if interested.

I can’t seem to stay away from the Quiraing whenever I’m up that way; just love the place! This is one of my favourite spots to photograph it; from here it seems like the cleat is framed from all directions.
We had a very wet and windy night up here but were lucky enough to have a little window in the morning to get out and have a little explore, during which even a little light was on show! If I’d known how rough the ferry crossing to Uist was going to be in the afternoon, maybe I’d have stayed for an extra day!

A Cleat taken at Portavogie Harbour today. I was just amazed at the luminous of the glow in the dark paint at the tips of this Cleat. It really did look like it was on fire close up. I love the colour of the metal of this cleat too. Iron is such a beautiful colour metal especially weathered iron. I hope others can see what I can see in this picture. I'm just attracted to deep dark vivid colours....
