It's all about the colors and composition for me on this one....I thought it was worth another round on the front page with a little Bobby Darin accompaniment.... :))

Heavy Clouds Fight strong sunlight above the Cleat on the Trotternish Ridge, Skye

Alone in the wilderness, the most beautiful sights can be seen. I always keep shooting right into sunset and beyond because the light can be so changable, especially on the Isle of Skye. Trying to be unique here can also be a challenge to say the least.

Tech - x2 long exposure shots. One for correct sky exposure, one for the foreground. Blended using luminosity masking (note there are no burned hilltops etc and a very natural result is achieved). I use Raya pro and Lumi32 to make the selections. Check out Jimmy McIntyre on Youtube if interested.

A friend wanted to see the rement soccer cleats with socks so Sonny modeled them for the photo.

After a week of soccer play, the cleats are washed and getting ready for the next week of fun.

I can’t seem to stay away from the Quiraing whenever I’m up that way; just love the place! This is one of my favourite spots to photograph it; from here it seems like the cleat is framed from all directions.

We had a very wet and windy night up here but were lucky enough to have a little window in the morning to get out and have a little explore, during which even a little light was on show! If I’d known how rough the ferry crossing to Uist was going to be in the afternoon, maybe I’d have stayed for an extra day!

Didn’t manage to do the Quiraing walk and get the classic view, but was happy enough to enjoy the scenery from the car park area down to Loch Cleat

Huge Boat Cleat,on the Portland Stern Wheeler.

A Cleat taken at Portavogie Harbour today. I was just amazed at the luminous of the glow in the dark paint at the tips of this Cleat. It really did look like it was on fire close up. I love the colour of the metal of this cleat too. Iron is such a beautiful colour metal especially weathered iron. I hope others can see what I can see in this picture. I'm just attracted to deep dark vivid colours....
