The effigy of Nick Griffin and 'executioner' arrives at Parliament Square.

The annual May Day (International Worker’s Day) march from Clerkenwell Green to Trafalgar Square took place.

Also organised (by the organisers of the April Fool’s Day G20 demonstrations last year) were four carnival parades headed by the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. With the general election on May 6th, each of the parades ‘dragged’ an effigy of a political leader to Parliament Square to be symbolically ‘executed’. Gordon Brown (Labour Party), David Cameron (Conservative Party) and Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrat Party) were ‘dragged’ from their respective party headquarters by the red, silver and green horses, while the black horse ‘dragging' Nick Griffin (British National Party) joined the May Day March.

A party in Parliament Square took place with music, samba band and Maypole Dancing. Anarchists blocked the streets around Parliament Square. Unlike the G20 Protests last year, Policing was non confrontational and there was no violence.

Heavy rain brought an early end to the protest.

London, UK. Saturday 13th April 2013 Anarchists, students and militant far left groups gathered in Trafalgar Square to hold a party to celebrate the death of Baroness Margaret Thatcher. The party had been planned for the first Saturday after the former prime minister death. Please do not use without permission

Cafeteria at Next Door homeless shelter. Nasty Bucket inches away from condiment table (see feet of clients at condiment table at top right of bucket) Shelter-Episcopal Community Services, Linzie Coleman, Director. When street cleaners spray water or it rains on Polk Street and sidwalk near bldg. entrance, black water drips into this bucket from cafeteria ceiling. Sometimes onto condiment table where open containers of sugar, napkins and plastic ware are set. Or into this nasty bucket. Been like this for perhaps years. Gavin Newsom, the Mayor or the City of San Francisco; HSA and Board of Supervisors all know about it, but they refuse to enforce proper health standards. We smell this nasty vapor from the ceiling and the nasty bucket every day. As of Sept. 2007, since January 2007 and years past. Shame on all of you !

Straight out of the Frank Luntz dictionary. Isn’t proposing elimination of the minimum wage class warfare? Cutting Supplementary Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps)? Reducing the Estate Tax?

There is a class war going on, and the 1% class is winning.
