Clap your hands!
All you looking good!
I'm goona sing my song
It won't take long!
We're gonna do the twist

Come on let's twist again,
like we did last summer!
Yeaaah, let's twist again,
like we did last year!
Do you remember when,
things were really hummin',
Yeaaaah, let's twist again,
twistin' time is here!
Heeee, and round and round and up and down
we go again!
Oh, baby, make me know you love me sooooo,
and then:
Twist again,
like we did last summer,
Come on, let's twist again,
like we did last year!
TWIST! YO!
Who`s that flyin' up there?
Is it a bird? Noooooo!
Is it a plane? Noooooooo!
Is it the twister? YEAAAAAAAHH!
Twist again, like we did last summer,
Come on, Let's twist again,
like we did last year!!!!
Do you remember when, things were really hummin',
Come on, let's twist again,
twistin' time is here
Heeee, and round and round and up and down we go again!
Oh, baby, make me know, you love me sooooo! And then:
Come on, twist again, like we did last summer,
let's twist again, like we did last year!
Come on, let's twist again,

I won't pretend to understand the movement of the wind
or the waves out in the ocean
or how like the hours I change softly slowly plainly blindly
Totally excited that I found this little guy today at a thrift store for $4, It wasn't with the rest of the cameras so I got lucky when I came across it, I don't know if it actually works yet but I do know it's a Yashica MG-1 and it's from the golden year of 1975. 35 mm film.
So i'm gonna get up early enough tomorrow (before i have to go to work), buy some film, shot a roll, and see if i can get it developed...
I really hope it works! i've been looking for an old camera like this for a while at yard sales and similar places but no luck until today. :)

That's the name of the band - Clap your hands and say yeah - and we caught a free concert on the steps of the tower at UT Austin.

...if you're dead, royal and white.
medieval royal tombs at basilique saint-denis. almost all french kings were either buried in saint-denis or their remains were moved there later. the graves were disinterred and destroyed during the french revolution which also closed down the church. they were restored by viollet-le-duc in the 19th century.
getting rid of royalty made sarkozy possible, when you think about it, much the same way the wright brothers unwittingly invented the plane crash.

Democratic National Convention 2008 in Denver. I have no idea how to sum up how amazing these two random days in Denver were. I flew in via LA (thx Julian!), figured I'd crash with Danny for a day or two to check out the Obama-themed street-arty party in Danny's gallery space ("Manifest Hope" gallery) and then maybe try to scam my way into Obama's keynote? The gallery was unbelievable, which turned into a block party Wed night with Cold War Kids + Clap Your Hands + Silversun Pickups + Z-Trip which turned into an acoustic show with the aforementioned plus Johnny Deathcab / Postal Service and the girl from Small Wonder (??) all emceed by Sarah Silverman... which eventually turned into a No Data style dance party (hence the 1000 upskirt shots). I was up till 5am, slept two hours, biked over to the DNC (hobo bike!) to volunteer and ended up working the security line for 11 hours (!!) to earn my way in to see Obama's speech. Just an amazing amazing weekend.
