Many of the temples are constructed from huge blocks of carved sandstone often placed on top of blocks that are stronger but less easy to carve - early form of stone cladding!
I clad our "temporary" kitchen counter eating area in nice Maple. None of these pictures actually show it completed, just dry fit prior to finishing. It's going to look really nice, I think.

April 2014: New cladding & windows on Aberdeen College Gallowgate Campus (Now North East Scotland College, Aberdeen City Campus), Gallowgate, Aberdeen
Built in the 19th Century, this stucco-clad brick house demonstrates the older pre-revivalist architecture of Santa Fe, which was characterized by styles that were popular throughout the rest of the United States, some of which were later modified to appear more like the revivalist architecture that became popular in the city during the early 20th Century. The building is a contributing structure in the Barrio Analco Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1968, and is a contributing structure in the Santa Fe Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
