I tried my hand at a Cinemagraph per direction of a tutorial by a guy a Flickr Friend, flic.kr/ps/rojzu posted another tutorial by. Here is the link if anyone wants to take a stab at it...... youtu.be/-dD_yeVMUzo.
A fair warning though, Flickr does not allow for GIF images to be uploaded so I had to upload a still shot and put the animation in my comments section below and I have also pasted a link....... oi64.tinypic.com/28gqs2d.jpg I hope you like it.

Sebastien (model) is a finalist of Mister of Belgium Personality 2012 and his final photography assignment was to create an image which would reflect his character. He explained me that he is a dreamer but he believes that his dreams will come true, that is why we chose clouds as a main theme here.
You can vote for him here booroo.com/app/showpoll.asp?sid=jw9sg0hpb02d0ye14207&... Sebastien Ulens !

Feeling excited, I was up early and wanted to play more with creating video content. I am not very familiar with creating and editing video and am disappointed with the noise. It's all part of the process of learning and improving so I will accept the results and move on for the day.
I spent the morning working on learning how to make a cinemagraph in Photoshop. I found the tutorial on youTube youtu.be/2DU0Sim_BJ4. It was very helpful but I did struggle with making it look ok but it was time well spent. There was a breeze this morning so I quickly grabbed some tissue paper to construct a make-shift veil so that I had something that would move in the wind. It was fun and challenging and I can't wait to try again.
See the results in the comments below.

I'd recommend viewing this in lightbox given the aspect ratio of this shot.
So 2012 was a crazy year for me. I saw a lot of the world and learned a new definition to the word “busy” as I finished the first semester of my senior year in college. It was a season in which I had to unfortunately neglect my camera more than I wished. 2013 will not be the same in that regard. I have high hopes to be moving after graduating in May depending on where I get accepted for a photography internship.
I took this photo when it was freezing cold and semi raining and it was beyond frozen by the time it was done. Halfway through taking the photo I had a woman with a camera come by and ask if she could take some portraits of me while I worked. It’s like photographers are magnets to each other or something. That lake is usually deserted so I don’t know what the chances of that encounter are. I’ve also been working on making this into a cinemagraph, so stay tuned for that. I hope you all had a great New Years. I’ll be posting a 2012 review very soon :)

Shout out to GoblinStock for his Autumn Leaves.
Completely inspired by Marika's picture When september ends and Brooke Shaden's picture changing winds.
+ personal thought 1: I wish I had long hair, or maybe a wig... the pic would have been better I think.
+ personal thought 2: I absolutely hate fall and winter. It is a real challenge to try to create something nice when the weather is depressing :-/

I don't think I can get this to loop on Flickr, but you've seen those looping videos on FaceBook? You can do that on Coub.
Hah! My next Coub may be chickens - they are so adorable:)
Hugs and best wishes for a marvelous week! I hope to be back by Valentine's Day.

El primero y, aunque muy mejorable, bastante satisfecha. Flickr sólo permite verlo en bucle si lo ampliáis; así que recomiendo hacerlo para verlo como tal, un cinemagraph.

It's been ages since I visited InSilico, a cyberpunk roleplaying sim, and it's even more impressive than I remembered.
I had wanted to take a photo contrasting vintage swing era style with a high tech, gritty noir sci-fi world. And up in the penthouses of a posh hotel surrounded by high-tech lowlife, I found a secret gambling den/speakeasy that was exactly what i had in mind.
I used this photo to create a cinemagraph to use for my electro swing music channel. I use Photoshop to break the image into different layers (background, singer, singer's right arm, & microphone) and then export those layers to an app called Wallpaper Engine to animate it and add effects.
Link to the video version on the
'Swing Shift' YouTube channel!
"The future is leaking backward in the form of InSilico, a high-end cyberpunk role playing region in Second Life." So much to explore here - 4 full sims!
