KCS 1509 was all dressed up and running around East St. Louis on the YVN113. Grady and I needed to nail the Belle painted switcher as this has been an oft ignored job. Oft ignored is easy to do considering this job isn't the easiest to shoot - running through scenic East St. Louis and the lack of many street crossings. I suppose we could have waited at Exchange Ave for them to drag cars from Venice to Rose Lake but it was getting hot and there was no need to stir up the local wildlife. One and done at Trendley Ave was good enough for us!

A farmer drives his tractor down the road, just after processing several rows of corn stalks in the field behind the red barn. The location is in northern Vermont, and the autumn foliage is at peak color.
The morning mist had not yet diseapear from the ambiant air as L591 job, as their first move of the day, had just made the joint into track QO46 on the Valleyfield subdivision and get themselves ready to pull it into Coteau's yard.
Conductor S.P swing aboard the trailing GP38-2 as brakeman S.B slowly walk toward the front end, in order to line ourself in the proper way to gain access to the yard.
Seconds after the highball was given, two tired GMD four-axles product started to pull the string of cars, bound for a day of switching.

Yes, we ask Jasper to help out around the house on occasion. Today we asked him to clean the guest bath. He does a pretty good job. The rubber gloves don't really fit him that well, but he insists so that his pads remain in peak frisbee and ball catching condition.
