I needed a new project. SL had become a bit, well, not so exciting for me in the last little bit. So, what do we do when it all gets a bit ho hum drab and dull feeling? Well, we (meaning me!) do lots more of these things: go shopping, create a new home, go and find pretty places to explore, and play dress up. So, I am excited about my newest SL digs...and, of course...this adorable new pup from Rezz Room, out at the current round of Uber, makes the perfect lil gardening buddy. And yes, wearing a gorgeous dress from Bauhaus makes taking on garden chores oh so glam! :)
The Great Blue Herons are busily gathering sticks for nest building at Michigan's Kensington Metropark, and this one flew right past me on its way back to the rookery.
I wondered about the tire tracks since it was early in the morning after a fresh overnight snowfall and I knew the owners were gone on a short winter vacation. Then I remembered they had horses that needed care so I am sure the tracks were from someone who they had asked to "do the chores." HFF

A Hummingbird Hawk Moth feeding on Buddleia in our garden today. I've neglected my macro shots this summer, so this was a lovely surprise this afternoon. Very fast and shy, quite difficult to get close to. I stopped to watch a butterfly, as I brought some washing in off the line and it flew in past my head! You can see eyelashes at full size,
I was sitting on the veranda, shelling peas for lunch (best place to do these chores !), when I spotted this Butterfly on the Gaillardias, her colours so well suited to the flowers. I approached very carefully with my camera but she wasn't disturbed by my presence /
J'etais assise sous la veranda, en train d'ecosser des petits pois pour le dejeuner (c'est le meilleur endroit pour faire ce genre de corvee, face au jardin fleuri !). lorsque j'ai remarque ce Papillon parmi les Gaillardes, ses couleurs se mariant magnifiquement bien avec celles des fleurs. Je m'en suis approchee avec grandes precautions mais elle n'a pas ete derangee par ma presence.

Easter morning was a work day for this one as he made multiple runs for fresh nesting material in preparation for this year's chicks. He also needs to work on his approach skills for mating as he overshot the runway more than once. As with everything, with repetition he'll get it down.
