Made two different custom Chococat Keychains for a friend of mine who has been asking me to make them for her for a while. ;) These keychains are made from Hama Mini beads. ^.^
Here's my Christmas tree this year, decorated with some of my black cat collection! Catty Noir, Barbie, and Kelly all join my Beanie Babies, Fenton, and Hello Kitties :) Black cat cookie cutter is from Hallmark. The sweet ceramic kitty is from my beloved granny. She's one of my favorite black cats in my collection -- she was made in the '80s! Also, hard to see, but there is Avon black cat jewellery.

★ Hello Kitty (ハローキティ ,Harō Kiti, is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio. Designed by Ikuko Shimizu, the first product, a vinyl coin purse, was introduced in Japan in 1974, and in the United States in 1976.
★ The Hello Kitty line has since developed licensing arrangements worth more than $1 billion a year in sales. Examples of products depicting the character include dolls, stickers and greeting cards to clothes, accessories, school supplies, dishes and home appliances. Sanrio Puroland is the official theme park of Sanrio featuring Hello Kitty and her friends.
I saw these at demeterfragrance.com, and had to buy them! this is a 6-piece cologne set made for Sanrio's 50th Anniversary. Each bottle is rather small, and holds .5 fl ounces. There are different sizes/sets to buy at the site, but this one was cheapest, around $40 shipped.
Each fragrance smells pretty close to the character (hover for scent names. Also they are based on my sense of smell, the scents weren't officially listed.) They are a bit strong though, so I doubt i'd wear them much, but still pretty cute.
I was a tad disapointed though ... although these are cute, the page states that they would come in a "adorable gift set box", which they didn't ... simply plain white boxes. Also, these are advertised as a "spray", but have no spray nozzle, just a cap.
Condition: Bought new, never used.

★ A Hello Kitty (em japonês ハローキティ, transl. Harōkiti) é um dos muitos personagens criados pela empresa japonesa Sanrio. O personagem é a figura de uma gata branca com traços humanos que usa um laço ou flor na orelha esquerda e não possui boca. Ela tem uma irmã gemea chamada Mimmy e namora um gatinho branco (semelhante a ela) chamado Daniel. Nos desenhos animados Hello Kitty tem uma boca.
★ Patenteada em 1976, a Hello Kitty é hoje uma marca mundialmente conhecida.
★A Hello Kitty foi criada originalmente pelo designer da Sanrio, Ikuko Shimizu, em 1974. Shimizu deixou a companhia aproximadamente um ano depois. O segundo designer, Setsuko Yonekubo, assumiu por cinco anos até 1980, quando essa tarefa foi dada a Yuko Yamaguchi, que ainda está à frente do trabalho. O personagem apareceu originalmente em pequenos artigos para jovens meninas, como bolsinhas para moedas.
★ A Hello Kitty recebeu um nome inglês porque as culturas norte-americana e britânica eram populares entre as garotas japonesas na época da sua criação. Charmmy assemelha-se à Hello Kitty, mas tem atributos que a tornam mais parecida com um gato. Charmmy Kitty foi dada à Hello Kitty por seu pai, George White, e Sugar lhe foi dado por seu namorado, Dear Daniel.
★ Atualmente existem vários tipos de Hello Kitty: de pé, em cima de um coração, com laços de cores diferentes, fantasiada, com flor na cabeça, etc. Mas, antigamente, apenas existia uma forma de Hello Kitty: ela sentada, olhando para você. É claro que, com o sucesso que ela fez, os criadores logo formaram uma família para ela. O sucesso foi gigantesco, o que fez o criadores ampliarem a linha de produtos ligados a ela.
I initially bought my niece a fairly standard pink and gray backpack for the upcoming school year. I thought to myself that she's getting to be a big girl now (she turned 7 in May) and she might want to have something a little more mature since according to my sister, all the other girls in her class look up to her. Me over-analysing it meant that she needed to set an example for the other girls ... take their studies seriously ! and whatnot.
I suppose you can say that I've forgotten what it feels like to be 7. At that age, I had skipped from grade 3 to 4 and even though I was a painfully shy child I firmly told my mother that she must no longer accompany me to my class in the mornings. Despite my first official attempt at independence and grown-up-ness, I still had a cute white tote bag with little flowers all over it and it had a teal coloured zipper and handles. I would look forward to going to Hampsteads during the summer to check out all the gurly school supplies and (my fav) SCENTED ERASERS. Back then, we didn't have the long list of required school supplies either that now seem to take away the delight of filling up the cart with flashy pens, swirly patterned binders and .. well you get the picture.
So channeling my inner 7 year old, I returned the plain schoolbag and headed to Sanrio. 22 years later, I still squeal (silently now !) over the fruity smelling erasers ...
