Well technically this is two UPS packages and a Fed ex package. Pullip Merl and Dal Heart Macaron came from Pullipstyle, two of the POP! vinyl figures and the Rainbow Dash keychain came from Hot Topic in addition to a couple of tshirts and everything else came from BBTS. BBTS has an option that lets you group orders so this is like two-three months worth of stuff from them.
my bedroom, its a loft apartment which explains how weird it is lol. My dad made the platform bed for me.
Vina got a bit of pain added to her eyes, some re-engineering of her hair (along with a hair cut), and took advantage of the generous cut of the Chococat top to indulge in some layering.

This is my Sanrio keychain collection. There aren't really that many but what they lack in size they sure make up for in cuteness! The black Chococat at the bottom right hand corner is the one i use everyday for my keys and he goes everywhere with me : ). The rest are just displayed in various places around my room.
I don't know why but I always feel the need to do my designs on the entire lid even though the top third doesn't even show up once you put them in the faceplate....

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I wanted an excuse for a LONG time to get my hands on some Hello Kitty themed threads for my Barbies. I mostly was made aware of this fashion line via eBay. I spend way too much time trying to identify secondhand doll clothes on there, and I tend to find listings for brand new Barbie fashions rather often. I admit even though I know I don't have any of the Hello Kitty ones secondhand, I always have to take a peek at the listings. So naturally I was keen to buy this fashion pack when I "needed" an outfit for my recently acquired Chambray Chic "curvy" Barbie, who was without clothes. I waste no time and am never cheap about clothing my dolls. If a gal or guy needs an outfit, I am going to spend time investigating my options. After all, half the fun in collecting dolls revolves around their wardrobe (which is why molded or painted clothes on dollies is one of my pet peeves). Anyways, rather than settle for a handmade outfit from storage or some not so flattering getup I already had, I thought this was the opportune time to learn more about the world of modern Barbie fashions. And I already had my sights set on Hello Kitty fashions before arriving at Wal-Mart. There weren't many different ones to choose from that day, but I really loved the design of this ChocoCat dress. Firstly, I LOVE black cats. Secondly, I am way too obsessed with doll food, so this fast food print was a big yes from me. And thirdly, well I have a Hello Kitty themed checkbook that features pages which have a similar print (only not with ChocoCat, but with Hello Kitty herself). This might sound silly, but my Hello Kitty themed checkbook makes me so happy that it makes writing the checks (and losing my money) less painful! Hello Kitty has been a part of my identity since I was not even eleven years old. And while I don't feel the need to wear her from head to toe anymore, I think it's nice to have dolls as an outlet to express my former 12 year old desires!

★ Hello Kitty ハローキティ, è il più noto personaggio dell'azienda giapponese Sanrio che produce biglietti d'auguri, gadget, articoli da regalo.
★ Hello Kitty, buffa gattina dolce e curiosa, è caratterizzata dal fiocco rosso sull'orecchio sinistro (talvolta il fiocco è rimpiazzato da un fiore a cinque petali o sono presenti entrambi, più raramente indossa altri accessori) e dall'assenza della bocca (eccezione fatta per la serie animata in cui invece la bocca è visibile).
★ Intorno al personaggio di Hello Kitty ruota un universo di pupazzi dalle fattezze infantili. Creata nel 1974 a Tokyo e registrata nel 1976, Hello Kitty è attualmente un trademark molto forte che genera un fatturato di miliardi di dollari attraverso un mechandising variegato che va da biglietti di buon compleanno a videogiochi a gioielli, tostapane, biciclette, chitarre e ogni anno vede moltiplicarsi le offerte. Rappresenta un fenomeno di costume che riguarda non solo le ragazzine, ma anche donne adulte. In Italia è stata ufficialmente importata da Nicola Bartolini Carrassi.
★ Inizialmente la gattina bianca venne chiamata Kitty White dal nome di uno dei gatti di Alice nel libro Attraverso lo specchio e quel che Alice vi trovò di Lewis Carroll, poiché negli anni settanta la cultura britannica era molto in voga fra le ragazzine giapponesi. La frase Hello Kitty deriva dalla traduzione non letterale del nome del personaggio, che rappresenta la principale fonte di ispirazione: maneki neko ossia il gatto del benvenuto (in inglese più propriamente 'welcoming cat' e non 'hello kitty'). I detrattori hanno insinuato che il personaggio di Hello Kitty assomigli a Miffy di Dick Bruna e che dunque non avrebbe nulla di originale.
★ Il mondo di Hello Kitty include una gamma completa di amici e familiari. Quando nel 1999 fu creato il fidanzato di Hello Kitty,"Dear Daniel", i disegnatori presero il suo nome dal film del 1971 Melody, il cui protagonista era Mark Lester nel ruolo di un ragazzo di undici anni chiamato Daniel alle prese con il primo amore, e la cui colonna sonora era dei Bee Gees. Dal 2004 ha persino un gatto domestico lei stessa, chiamato Charmmy Kitty e un cucciolo di criceto di nome Sugar. Charmmy assomiglia ad Hello Kitty, ma il suo aspetto è più felino, meno antropomorfo. Charmmy Kitty è un regalo del papà di Hello Kitty, George White, e Sugar di Dear Daniel.
★ Come tutti i personaggi della Sanrio, Hello Kitty è disegnata nello stile "kawaii". Il termine non ha un'esatta traduzione in italiano, indica qualcosa di minuto e grazioso, carino, un po' lezioso ed infantile, fatto di animaletti antropomorfi, gatti senza artigli, effimero e colorato, spesso di rosa. Tale stile, ormai dilagante, trova però anche numerosi detrattori.
★ La risposta ufficiale di Sanrio alla domanda: «perché Hello Kitty non ha la bocca?» è che lei «parla con il cuore, senza utilizzare un linguaggio particolare». È stata avanzata l'ipotesi che il successo di Hello Kitty possa dipendere da questa assenza di bocca che permette ad ognuno di attribuirle i propri stati d'animo del momento, rendendola un personaggio simpatico nel senso etimologico.
★ Hello Kitty è stata commercializzata sin dagli anni settanta negli Stati Uniti. Dal 1983 ha il ruolo di abasciatore dell'UNICEF presso i bambini. Il successo, fino a farne un vero oggetto di culto, si ebbe nella seconda metà degli anni novanta, quando celebrità come Mariah Carey l'adottarono come status symbol. Molte celebrità americane hanno contribuito al successo della gattina:Ricky Martin, Mariah Carey, Cameron Diaz, Heidi Klum, Steven Tyler, Christina Aguilera, Carmen Electra, Mandy Moore, Raven-Symoné, Varla Jean Merman, Paris e Nicky Hilton sono stati fotografati con oggetti che ritraggono Hello Kitty. La cantante Lisa Loeb, che è la testimonial della chitarra rosa Hello Kitty Stratocaster, ha ammesso di essere una vera fan ed ha persino dedicato alla micetta un intero album chiamato Hello Lisa.
