A full view of Sue the "tyrant lizard" is on display at Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History.

Sue is the largest, most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex ever discovered. She was unveiled at the Field Museum in 2000, just 67 million years after her death - give or take a few years.

A different kind of "blue hour" envelops the city. The Wrigley Building stands in the distance as snow continues to fall, and cover the Michigan Avenue Bridge.

Set Description: On Tuesday, Chicago was treated to it's largest snowstorm since the Groundhog Day blizzard of 2011.

I bundled up and went out into the elements for a few hours at night to photograph the action on and around Michigan Avenue.

While the temperature was somewhat comfortable, the shooting conditions were brutal. Visibility was low and working the camera in torrential snow has it's challenges. Despite the difficulties I managed to get some cool shots.

Now that we got a snowstorm out of the way, bring on the spring thunderstorms!

Chicagohenge. Twice a year, around the spring and fall equinoxes, the sun’s rays and the city’s grid come into divine alignment. In Chicago, the Sun will set down the long equatorially-aligned grid of streets and buildings known as Chicagohenge.
