The original construction lifts were on the interior of the building which mean voids needed to be left in the floor plates to later be filled in on the elevators were repositioned. Lucky for me, that work wasn't done yet and I could capture two levels in one shot.

Set description: A big thanks to the team at Howells & Hood. They were nice enough to help me out with my #ChicagoLandamarks project by allowing me to shoot from The Crown, their private event space atop the Tribune Tower. Awesome space, gorgeous views. Tough to beat.

Sean desperately trying to get in a few frames from The Ledge before closing.

Set description: I had a blast showing Sean Parker

around Chicago as he ended a 2-week long raod trip up famed Route 66.

Sean was traveling the route with Joel Schat to document their travels via time-lapse. While Joel continued onto Indianapolis to shoot the Indy 500, Sean and I hit the streets, balconies, and roofs of Chicago to get as many time-lapsable scenes we could fit in during his brief visit.

Together, they are creating a documentary for Roadtrippers with some great film & time-lapse sequences detailing their stops along the way. To see more photos from their trip and get updates on the documentary’s progress go here >> #TravelRoute66

This is a super-wide 6-frame panorama of the Prizker Pavilion all lit-up in the freshly fallen snow.

Set Description: On Tuesday, Chicago was treated to it's largest snowstorm since the Groundhog Day blizzard of 2011.

I bundled up and went out into the elements for a few hours at night to photograph the action on and around Michigan Avenue.

While the temperature was somewhat comfortable, the shooting conditions were brutal. Visibility was low and working the camera in torrential snow has it's challenges. Despite the difficulties I managed to get some cool shots.

Now that we got a snowstorm out of the way, bring on the spring thunderstorms!
