Triple Crown: Not only was this the first time I had such a great east-facing vantage for a storm, I caught the elusive triple strike too! This was a single frame.
Set Description: Found a great new protected spot to watch & shoot lighting. Glad the skies cooperated for me. Earlier in the evening these storms were bordering on sever, but weakened as they approached Chicago. Despite the drop in power, there was still a bit of lighting shooting out of the sky.

Gerade zur nächtlichen Stunde kommt die Architektur des neuen Wiener Hauptbahnhogs, genauer die Dachkosntruktion der Bahnsteighalle, schön zur Geltung. 2016.018 fährt aus Bratislava in ebendieser Bahnsteighalle ein.

The Chicago River 'smokes' in the small spaces that have yet to freeze over.
Set Description: The polar vortex has made its return to Chicago, once again turning the area into Chiberia. While not quite as cold as the last time this arctic air mass visited, it was cold enough (and pretty enough) for some cool photos along the Chicago River

The Wrigley Building (finished in 1924) is Chicago's first skyscraper, built next to the Chicago River on what is now the Magnificent Mile.
