Sarah and I are very sorry to let you know that Chip has passed today, he did not suffer at all.

We told him to head towards the rainbow bridge but Chip being Chip was last seen headed for the beach instead.

We are both heartbroken and his loss will follow us always, however we have tried to give the little fella the best life we possibly could, he has been loved as much as any dog has ever been loved.

How they love peanuts and not one bit bashful.

Chips in an 1/8 of cup waiting to be added to the dessert topping

Hello everyone, I'm afraid it's not good news, Chip will be staying in overnight tonight and we can collect him in the morning.

He does have cancer and it has spread to his liver, The vets have told us we could have 3 months max but most probably it will be 6 weeks. We will make the right decision when the time is right.

He can't do beaches etc until after Christmas, nearer to New Year but when he can rest assured he will be. We've tried to give him the best life we possibly could and will continue to do so until we no longer can. He will be getting more treats, Chicken and his favourite, sausages cooked for him daily.

As you can imagine we are very upset and I don't really know what else to say. We would like to thank all the staff at Williams Veterinary Surgeons both in Cemmaes road and Tywyn, especially Amy who was happy for me to crumple in front of her today and showed me great kindness, thanks guys for doing everything you could.

Macro Mondays, May 22: Chips

European Pipe Band Championships 2006

- a great British tradition

freshly caught golden perch/yellowbelly from the Murray river at Gunbower northern Victoria, served with local spuds made into chips.

As Chip (the sheep) smiles for the camera, Tag (the Border Collie) photobombs the pic.

One of many chipmunks that are constantly scurrying around our yard. I named this one Chip, and we've become friends. Chip likes to sit on our back porch to watch birds at the feeders, and he also keeps me company while I'm relaxing on the porch. Although chipmunks are cute, like their squirrel cousins they can be very destructive. Backyard wildlife.

... one of these chips just isn't the same. HMM!

Opal chips picked up as a souvenir of the mines in South Australia some years ago. These are basically the tailings from mining operations and would otherwise go completely to waste. For macro Mondays theme "Vowel". The image is slightly over one inch across (they are very small chips).

Macro Mondays.

Perfect Together.

Yorkrail CF7 # 1500 and GP16 1606 pull out of one Frito Lay spur after spotting a tank car. The hopper in tow will be spotted at Frito Lay's second spur just to the left after the pair clears a switch just behind the photographer. Seeing the 1500 come back to life on YRC recently has been quite the treat, especially with YJ-1 mostly switching industries in perfect light on their evening westbound trip.

Southern Pacific's Lakeview Local works the chip loader adjacent to Louisiana-Pacific's sawmill in Lakeview, Oregon. When this photo was taken during September 1985, the branch was pending abandonment. By the end of the year, agreement would be reached to sell the line to Lake County, Oregon for continued operation as a shortline. The last SP train in Lakeview departed town on a cold Friday evening in January 1986.

The theme is CHIP, they said.

My mind immediately thought "potato chip" however that seemed too obvious so I thought more widely. Computer chip also seemed a bit obvious, however my husband had these little gems with 'legs' to create shadows, so I jazzed them up with red and blue lights. That was fun.

I hope that 2009 brings you everything that makes you feel chipper. Here's an article about the chipping sparrow. As is often the case, this one was shot through my office window. It was a gray day.

I hope to catch up with you later. Thank you for visiting.

stopped "clicking" long enough to eat...

Fairhaven Fish & Chips (served from a red double-decker bus no less), Fairhaven, WA.

This is a total fraud of a shot. Store bought cookies heated on the cookie sheet with parchment just to melt the chocolate chips and stacked to show off their goodness. I'll be off to eat these though with a glass of milk, mmmm. Practice, practice, practice. I'll eventually get my food down.

When we bought our house in 2011 we had 2 chipmunks on the property. We named them Chip N Dale. They still live on our property and I love these little guys! It's strange watching a wild animal start to turn grey as they age! I noticed that Chip has a damaged right paw, all his fingers are missing. No luck trying to catch him to try to help so we left it up to nature.

For "Macro Mondays" ; theme : "Chip" .
