Macro Monday's Theme: Balance
Symmetrical balance of the striping of the poker chips and the center red chip visually balances the stack - HMM
Chippy, sadly no longer with us, broke my heart losing this little fella but bought me so many smiles with his antics, always loved.
Sarah and I are very sorry to let you know that Chip has passed today, he did not suffer at all.
We told him to head towards the rainbow bridge but Chip being Chip was last seen headed for the beach instead.
We are both heartbroken and his loss will follow us always, however we have tried to give the little fella the best life we possibly could, he has been loved as much as any dog has ever been loved.
Hello everyone, I'm afraid it's not good news, Chip will be staying in overnight tonight and we can collect him in the morning.
He does have cancer and it has spread to his liver, The vets have told us we could have 3 months max but most probably it will be 6 weeks. We will make the right decision when the time is right.
He can't do beaches etc until after Christmas, nearer to New Year but when he can rest assured he will be. We've tried to give him the best life we possibly could and will continue to do so until we no longer can. He will be getting more treats, Chicken and his favourite, sausages cooked for him daily.
As you can imagine we are very upset and I don't really know what else to say. We would like to thank all the staff at Williams Veterinary Surgeons both in Cemmaes road and Tywyn, especially Amy who was happy for me to crumple in front of her today and showed me great kindness, thanks guys for doing everything you could.
One of many chipmunks that are constantly scurrying around our yard. I named this one Chip, and we've become friends. Chip likes to sit on our back porch to watch birds at the feeders, and he also keeps me company while I'm relaxing on the porch. Although chipmunks are cute, like their squirrel cousins they can be very destructive. Backyard wildlife.
Shot for macro mondays "chip" theme this macro is of a multifaceted glass paperweight with a chip on top, HMM :)
Two young golden-mantled ground squirrel siblings exploring on top of a large rock in front of our house. About a month or so ago they were born under this same rock.
The theme is CHIP, they said.
My mind immediately thought "potato chip" however that seemed too obvious so I thought more widely. Computer chip also seemed a bit obvious, however my husband had these little gems with 'legs' to create shadows, so I jazzed them up with red and blue lights. That was fun.

It's been over a year now and I can once more bear to look at his pictures without falling apart. I intend to keep posting images of him on here, it keeps him alive in my memory.
This is a total fraud of a shot. Store bought cookies heated on the cookie sheet with parchment just to melt the chocolate chips and stacked to show off their goodness. I'll be off to eat these though with a glass of milk, mmmm. Practice, practice, practice. I'll eventually get my food down.
Shot from the summit of Wizard Island at Crater Lake in Oregon, the blue background is the lake and the white background is a cloud reflecting in the lake. This annoying varmint, after stealing my lunch, proceeded to block my perfect shot. Not sure if it is Chip or Dale.
When we bought our house in 2011 we had 2 chipmunks on the property. We named them Chip N Dale. They still live on our property and I love these little guys! It's strange watching a wild animal start to turn grey as they age! I noticed that Chip has a damaged right paw, all his fingers are missing. No luck trying to catch him to try to help so we left it up to nature.
