I know this was a chancy shot with hungry animals lurking the woods in search of the winter store but be assured in case of trouble i had my can of chip monk spray within easy reach.
Macro-Mondays-Chip
Every fall, before the snow comes, we cover our garden beds with wood chips. Eventually the chips will break down into compost. We buy ours from Limb Walker, a local chipper/shredder company.
Thanks for the wonderful comments. My Coolpix P1000 is such a phenomenal camera. it can take macro shots and it can take close up shots of the moon. It amazes me!
Today's lunch! One of the staple foods in England, Fish and Chips is a common take away food. One can find Fish and Chips shops in almost every town/city in the UK.

We were watching the sun set while waiting for fish and chips at the Horrocks Store, only to turn around and see the full moon rising. A great accompaniment for dinner!
He loves everyone, rarely barks, smart like a fox, and will fetch to you give up. He weighs 4 1/2 pounds, and about one hundred pounds of personality.

this shell is just a little over a 1/2 an inch. took probably 40 pictures of shell pieces. the little canon 870 p&s does great close-up shots :)

A rushed trip to the shop this morning to get a bag of my favourite potato chips (yes, I know, some of you refer to these as crisps) Light and Tangy flavour. A shame that I will now have to eat the whole packet!!

At the end of a run through the Salt Lake Valley, UP’s Sandy Local pulls into North Yard the afternoon of Sept. 26, 1985. According to RR Picture Archives, this locomotive is now working for Genesee & Wyoming's Corpus Christi Terminal Railroad as CCPN 3516.
