It isn't easy to come up with a picture that represents a childhood memory, but I still have my pencil box from grade one.The picture on the lid was of children pulling a sleigh over the snow. There was a ruler marked on one side and three compartments inside. Dad wrote my name on the bottom which was marked over by my classmate who stole it from me and it was months before I got it back. His name is still also on the bottom. I forgive you, Harry :)

It almost made me a little sad, watching these kids playing in the water feature in the city centre. It made me reflect on the simple joys and innocence of childhood days past, of being in the moment, amongst the whoops and yelps of a fleeting summer day. Where did all that time go?

In 1955 an awesome place opened up for kids and families along Rt 40 in Ellicott City Md called the Enchanted Forest a storybook amusement park. It remained opened until around 1995. In 2004 most of the pieces such as the Old Womans Shoe seen here in my photo were saved and enjoying a new life at Clarks Elioak Farm which is open to the public and new generations can enjoy the Enchanted Forest or relives their childhood memories there such as myself. I loves that place as a kid.

Wandering around Minami-Senju ....I caught this!!

It felt symbolic on a number of levels.

Back to the piano..and videos later.

This at-home weekend has been nice!

Photos from 1953 found in an abandoned house.

The idea for this creation was to capture the look and feel of a wooden toy by mainly using basic bricks - bringing back childhood memories and taking us back to the roots of LEGO!

well loved and used throughout my childhood. looking at it brings back all the smells and memories of yummy, scrumptious meals and baked treats we used it to time to completion. funny how the dirty greasiness of it makes me feel as my past is living right here with me now. its dirt and grease represents love and the feeling of being home to me. <3

Don't really like shot those homeless people, but those girls... I hope behind that door they can also find some smile.

Everyone who is famous has a childhood home that is well preserved . Here's to Goat Mountain! :)

When someone is faced with a tough childhood, they are often forced to grow up and mature faster than others. Consequently, this usually results in a "lost" or "forgotten childhood".

I wanted this photo to represent this. The story behind it was two children, orphans, growing up in poverty. The elder sister is standing tall to show that she is her sister's protector and is essentially taking on the role of the mother. The younger sister is holding on to her older sister's leg to show dependence.

I wanted this to be a very dark photograph. And I wanted them to have very intense stares (which they are friggen amazing at). All I had to do was explain to them once what I wanted, what this photograph was about and the emotion they should portray and they did it no problem, without me having to ask or direct them again. They're awesome.

This is going to be part of a series of photos all with the this same theme.

I'm probably going to re-edit this because I think it could be a bit better.

Recall of childhood... A happy one, by the way!

A photo I took last night for the weekly competition in my Photography III Class. I ended up winning the challenge category for the theme "Erosion". Its a composite self portrait.
