No matter how often I tell my youngest daughter to not leave the leashes (or anything) even close to the puppies, she forgets. Dibbs has chewed up a half dozen leashes. It's a good thing I'm making them instead of buying them.
Our Border Collie, Ruby, was extremely bored in the backyard... I took this picture as I was cleaning up the mess of doll arms, legs, and heads.
I think the original Chat & Chew was established in the 50's as a drive-in / diner. Don't know why they re-built, but I have a pretty good idea of when they did. The interior of the current restaurant smacks of circa 70-something. The food is standard diner fare, and the service is extra sweet.
Wish the sign were neon - it's such a great location for a big sign - mountains on one side and the river and W VA state line on the other, but since they employed no less than four different typefaces in one sign and the sky was more than cooperating, I decided I had to take the shot anyway.
Finally got to cut, wrap and bring in these babies to my IHN class!
They are very nutty (almonds and hazels!), very rich, but still fairly nutritious! These are a chocolate treat that's a good source of fibre, calcium and Omega fats - see, chocolate IS good for you!
And yes - you do have to press it out and chill it (oh the waiting!) for the chew factor... but the dough would probably be killer on it's own!
