SS 350 2-door coupe
The Nova Super Sport was transformed from a trim option to a performance package for 1968. One of the smallest muscle cars ever fielded by Detroit, the Nova SS now included a 295 hp (220 kW) 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8 engine along with a heavy-duty suspension and other performance hardware, priced at US$312.[14] Optional V8 engines included two versions of the big-block 396 cu in (6.5 L) rated at 350 bhp (350 PS; 260 kW); and 375 bhp (380 PS; 280 kW) at 5600 rpm and 415 lb⋅ft (563 N⋅m) at 3600 rpm of torque, which went for US$348. Both engines were offered with a choice of transmissions including the M-21 close-ratio four-speed manual, the heavy-duty M-22 "Rock Crusher" four-speed manual, or the three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. A total of 5,571 SS coupés were produced for 1968. Novas sported the SS badge until 1976. Front disc brakes were optional on the 1968 Nova SS.

Chevrolet Bel Air 1959. Gesehen in Bautzen. Interessantes Detail: das Logo der Olsenbande am Nummernschild.
This one is owned by Larry M., the man who started the long-standing Cars & Coffee Event in Queen Creek, Arizona, informally nicknamed as the ‘Donut Gang’ due to its proximity to a donut store on the same lot.
Larry worked for decades in managerial positions for Chevrolet, mostly on the West Coast of the US. Hence the choice of a Chevrolet for his street rod. Of course there is a modern Chevrolet V8 engine up front mated to a TurboHydramatic transmission so that anyone in his family would be able to drive it.

I don't normally take pictures of Corvettes, muscle cars and other newish cars even though I can appreciate them. However, I would have taken a shot of this entire car, but he had the hood up to show off a very serious and impressive looking motor. Love the paint scheme.
The driver is backing his car into a parking space at a monthly Cars & Coffee at a local church. My hope as a photographer is that he leaves the hood down. Chances are though, he’s going to raise the hood.
It’s kind of a Mexican-American car culture thing, to use hydraulics on a car’s suspension in order to be able to adjust ride heights and to be able to bounce the front and rear ends. The cars are most often older Chevrolets but not exclusively of course.
It’s a 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air station wagon. Whereas the ‘Bel Air’ designation was the top of the Chevrolet line in much of the 1950s, the ‘Impala’ models had knocked them off of the top rung of the ladder by 1958.
That tree on the right margin was an impressive specimen! It no longer exists.

Quite a few people, myself included, feel that the 1969 is the best looking of all Camaros.
The first two years of the Camaro, 1967-68, shared the exact same body panels with each other, slightly different from the 1969 model above.
The 1967-68 body had a mid-height crease along the side which was definitely below the tops of the wheel well openings. The 1969 body had creases that began from the tops of each wheel well openings and swept rearward.
