Tried this earlier in my 365 with cucumber....today it's a cherry. Shot with a high ISO in an attempt to capture some of the fizzing bubbles (plus no time to faff on with my tripod). Processed in Snapseed. Two thirds of the way through now - woohoo!
Officially called the Smith-Roe House on the historical register, the stone house built circa 1800 by the Smith family later became the property of the prominent local Doctor Roe in 1841, who had married into the Smith family. The Kyle family then owned the property around the turn of the century when the place became known for it's fruit orchards and was called "Cherry Hill Farm." It was owned as a summer home after that, and then and then was the home of an architect as well before it was turned over to the government for a Dam/Reservoir project that never went forward. Cherry Hill Farm is empty and isolated now on an old gravel road and looks spooky and overgrown most of the time.

Prunus incisa "Kojo-no-mai"
[Minor rant: I recently discovered the tone mapping persona in Affinity...I hate it when presets achieve far better results than I can. I'm definitely not keen on the idea of replacing my finely tuned editing (i.e fiddling with two dozen different sliders) with clicking just one button.]
This hasn't got the detail I normally like, as the year-old bush is only 60cm tall making it hard to get the focus I wanted. And the wind decided to blow! (Hoping the blossoms stay with me to give me a second chance. )
But I loved this more contrasty effect, compared to the slightly softer shots I've done recently.... feeling the need for a little more boldness!
