Every year the cherry blossoms in High Park, Toronto, draw tens of thousands of visitors. The trees themselves were a gift from Japan in 1959. A gift that keeps on giving.

I missed take pictures to Kitsune!! I had some problems trying to send her eyelids to custumize :( and for this reason I have her offside, but I get her out because I did not want to pass another spring without taking pictures, I have always thought that spring is her favorite season, that cherry/pink trees makes me think a lot in Japan ^///^
hopefully not pass so long time for her next photo!!! *Hugs to everyone*

Fruit of plenty .... I was given this Cherry Tree last year by a friend. It had become pot bound and was failing fast, so i rescued it and planted it into the ground, and as you can see its been successful!

Even though I have been enjoying going through the images from our last trip, I have started to feel a bit "stir crazy" from too much time confined to the house. So went out exploring in the yard. The cherry tree gave me something to photograph. In the fifteen years I have had this tree I have only tasted about five cherries. The crows get them. Nice that crows don't like blossoms!
The cherry blossoms are not yet in full bloom, but they are getting close. Due to the ongoing Corona outbreak, there probably won't be large gatherings of people having a good time under those trees this year. Happy weekend, everyone and please stay safe.

This is the season of cherry blossoms, and every country road in Leelanau County is dressed in blossoms.
When in the city yesterday I stopped to photograph these cherry blossoms on 54th Avenue. While there I noticed a school bus coming through so thought I would take a couple of shots of its slow approach. What I didn't know was it was the school bus I use to drive, good old 3287. I suppose that now it is getting on in years they have brought it in for city runs. I have so many good memories from the years I spent driving that bus and must admit there are times I still miss it, but then I realized that it isn't the driving I miss so much but more the children I carried and the incredible aid I was fortunate enough to be paired with. We were quite the team her and I. And I will leave it at that! ;-)
I've forgotten whether this is Blackthorn or Cherry blossom, but my gut feeling says Blackthorn.
I need something bright and cheerful and a lot of sunshine and light, it been too dark and wet for the last few days.
