There might be nothing better than a slice of juicy Comice pear with a chunk of Rogue Creamery's Rosemary Cheddar Cheese. The other two varieties are Garlic Cheddar and Medium Cheddar.
The recipe for this scone came from The Cheeseboard Collective Works. It tastes more like a giant buttermilk cookie than a scone.

Mid-century vintage serving/cutting tray for cheese, crackers, fruit or whatever the like. Magnet for knife (not included as it is probably forever lost.) Neat line drawing of a bottle of brandy, limes, glass, and cherries in black and gold. Can hang on the wall. Perfect for anyones' retro barware collection.

The set menu course of farm house cheeses, therefore not as many as in the full cheese board but that's fine because I needed room for the petits fours. The cheese came with some thin crackers. At Pied à Terre, Charlotte Street.

As far as work goes today, there wasn’t a ton of activity. Chris, Ahna, and Gary are all out of town, so it stayed pretty quiet. Kara came into the office still kinda shaken up. She was in her first car accident last night, and it was a doozy. I guess she was the tail end of a 6 car pileup on 35. Yikes! The good news is she’s OK and it looks like she’s gonna get a new car.
This evening was packed with fun activities! I finished up the loaf of bread I started last night. Emily went out and grabbed a couple packets of Ramen so I could try out a quick little recipe I found this morning. Basically, you cook up some bacon, throw butter, parmesan cheese, and boiling water into the pan, cook the noodles in that, and add some whisked eggs and more parmesan at the end. I also threw an extra fried on top of the whole thing. It was quick, easy, and surprisingly delicious. Ramen carbonara!
Dinner was good, but I kinda wish we hadn’t eaten. McCall came over for some wine and cheese… and bread, and crackers, and fig jam… it was a lot of food. It was all really good though, and hanging with McCall is one of my favorite things. I ended up cracking open three bottles of wine so we could sample around and compare. One of the wines absolutely tasted like gasoline, and not like in the, “Eew too much alcohol,” kinda way, but like, “Oh wow did I just drink actual gasoline?”
This venue not only has great pizza, but live music every afternoon! It was a pleasure hanging out & enjoying the music, food & friends, during our recent stay in Berkley.

THIS IS A CHEESE TRAY MADE FROM A LARGE RECYCLED BOTTLE OF CABERNET WINE. The best part is this tray sits 1" off your table on its three 1" cork feet!
Every kitchen and bar needs a couple of cheese or appetizer serving trays. These deep green trays make A GREAT holiday gift item for just about everyone! The trays are all a bit different in color, and shape as they come out of the kiln. The trays have three small cork "legs" of about 1" tall.

Welcome to 2017! Today seems like a good day to talk about my goals for this year. Then when I get to next year I can look back and see how I did.
I want to have $15,000 saved for a house.
I want to make a habit of reading a chapter of my bible every night.
I want to avoid eating fast food (Sam and I are doing that together)
I want to decide on/ start a course to study
I want to join a team sport
I want to make $1000 from my sewing. This one is going to be the big challenge, but I think I can do it.
So there it is, lets check back in 12 months and see how I did.
In other news, Opa and I made a beautiful cheeseboard together today
