Last year the kids built a small memorial to Dad near one of his favorite Sun Valley trails. We returned one year later to find the timber lean-to and cairn still standing.
This is lunch time at Cow Camp. One of the staples is cheese balls, and its one of the most colorful things in the room. 2011

Sunapee harbor rocks out - whether they like it or not - to the sounds of the world's most predictable, stereotypical, cheeseball wedding DJ.
Go ahead. Name a stereotypical, cheeseball wedding song. This guy played it.

use it to display a nest! the glass is kind of like a cloche (mary engelbreit lovers will recognize use of cloches for little assemblages -- her vignettes in the ME Home magazine inspired this).
Oh my. Kidlet wouldn't stop making cheeseball faces and Margaret was not impressed with the family portrait at all. Rene was shouting to us, "Just keep smiling, I'll keep shooting!"

The Straite Family strives to be as American as we can be. Roadside America is not a passing fancy, its not something one does if they are board. Roadside America is a requirement to be American. Mark Twain once said "You have to see the Thing, the biggest ball of yarn, and as many roadside attractions as possible in order or be American" If one does not take every possible opprtunity to hit any, and every, cheeseball roadside haunt they pass, they are virtually a communist.
Rosewell? Yes please.
where we spotted Don Cheadle; made direct eye contact him and we were only a a couple feet away from each other
I blame this extravagance (and yes, it is extravagance to buy over one pound of cheese balls when you don't have roommates) on the season premiere of Chuck this week. And last year's episode of the Office, before it, because I've wanted to buy this giant tub since that aired. My favorite comment so far? When my brother told me that I'd better not eat them all before he comes over on Monday to watch Chuck and Heroes. What kind of a maniac does he think I am?
